I look at them all, but usually its CNN and BBC.

I dont take anything at face value from ABC, MSNBC, Fox...

I didn't hear anything! :lamo :peace

Why would it be better? Do you think people outside the US don't have biases? I certainly do and I live outside the US, but I answered the question honestly. Since you're posting at this time it's reasonable to assume that you do to, but voting for NPR leaves your objectivity in question.

What the hell was that?![/

There is an element in our sociaty who can't help but see a report of strict facts as biased. The right IMO has drifted so deep into John Birch Sociaty territory that unvarnished reporting that doesn't contain the mythical John Le Carrie/Robert Ludlum conspricy fabrics, must by reason of insanity be glossing over these between the lines, unknowable guesses.
What I'm struggleing here to say is, some folks wouldn't know the unbiased truth if it bit them on the ass. :doh :peace

The fact that its publically funed imo makes it more unbiased since its not dependant on corporate money.

Explain to my why its establisehd as a liberal media source? I don't think it is at all, if you want to know the facts of an issue and in debth analysis on the facts you turn to NPR.

You refuse to accept that but I just gave an argument for it.

I would have to say C-SPAN.

C-span is the most depressing of them all.. You literally can watch our country being sold to the highest bidder in real-time.. and be told about it in a monotone voice with a smug smile by some guy who you know hates the **** out of his job.

Did C-SPAN recently hire Cormac McCarthy to narrate the going ons of the halls of Congress or something? Sweet Jesus, man... :lamo

I think a better poll would be who is the least biased news commentator. People such as Bill O'Reilly, Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, Jon Stewart, etc. I know Stewart is more for comedy but the guy is very politically active and has some cross party views. I can start that poll actually. Anyone have any other suggestions for it before I do?

Aren't commentators supposed to be biased? It makes more sense to ask which anchor/host is least biased. You can start with Diane Sawyer, Scott Pelley and Brian Williams.

Some of the claim not to be (O'Reilly mainly). Maybe a better word would be which one is more fair.

Media Bias Is Real, Finds UCLA Political Scientist

Interesting article, but from 2005.

While the editorial page of The Wall Street Journal is conservative, the newspaper's news pages are liberal, even more liberal than The New York Times. The Drudge Report may have a right-wing reputation, but it leans left. Coverage by public television and radio is conservative compared to the rest of the mainstream media. Meanwhile, almost all major media outlets tilt to the left.

These are just a few of the surprising findings from a UCLA-led study, which is believed to be the first successful attempt at objectively quantifying bias in a range of media outlets and ranking them accordingly.

I have one...don't waste your time. It's a disaster in the making, lol.

I voted none. I think Fox is biased towards the right, and the rest are biased towards the left. I'm not sure which one is "least" biased.

When discussing politics it is hard for anyone not to have some bias, period. Non political stories they are somewhat truthful.

Although I remember one station was reporting on an area receiving heavy rain and some flooding. They had a reporter sitting in the middle of a street in a boat when some guy went walking by him with water up mid calf....
The worst bias was the FOX reporter caught in the camera waving her arms up to encourage the crowd to protest louder.

I voted Fox as least biased for the simple reason that they are normally much more likely to report negative news on both sides of the isle, something the other news channels will usually only do when a story damaging to their political party of choice gets too big to bury or downplay_

The left wing media did very little vetting of Obama before the 2008 election but instead exaggerated his qualifications and either ignored or downplayed the stuff that was damaging to him which is obvious by the ignorance of his supporters who never watched Fox News prior to the election_

The result is we now have a not too bright, marxist, racist President who has done an enormous amount of damage to this nation in less than four years in office__Four more years of Obama and we might as well petition Red China for statehood since they will already own us and have most of our jobs_

Hey, does anybody know where I can get me one of those Rosetta Stone, Chinese Learning Software at?__Learning Chinese might be the new american ticket to success in the 21st century__Anybody know how to say "long live the chairman" in mandarin?__Wait a minute, is he dead? :popcorn2:

So you're the one who voted for FOXNews.

Brilliant.

Another great contribution, Emp.

Fox News called a fist bump between Michelle and Barack a "terrorist fist jab"... anything else needed?

Oh please__Should we make a list of stupid statements by various news agencies and compare them?!

Not sure if they're completely free of bias, but I enjoy watching Bloomberg. Out of the ones listed.. CNN most likely, although I dislike the majority of their hosts.

Your claim is that Fox covers both sides of the story more than the rest. I submit you have probably never listened to the rest. Fox News also claims there is a War on Christmas... that's pretty balanced. I'm sure the Muslims love those stories.
