NPR is radio programming. A lot of really interesting analyrical stuff and some really pointless stuff. But their construction is far more detailed than other stations. I don't have a TV so I don't know about PBS.

Who can deny your bias for having to drag in MSNBC (not in OP) to make your point. ;-)

Uhhh... See post #19 sir. T'was not me who brought in MSNBC. I merely responded.

Gonna have to wake up a wee bit earlier if you wanna get one over on the good Cap'n. LOL!

It is impossible for there to be an unbiased channel in the USA. To some degree, Al Jazeera is more balanced (except in ME issues). But in the USA, everything is partisan. Maybe its not supposed to be that way but that is what I see.
I would agree. They have in-depth reporting, they are not afraid to take a longer route in lieu of sound-bites and they really do try to have all sides represented. The hosts try to be a impartial as they can, even with guests who are clearly ignorant or partisan (like the Creationist they had on a recent Talk of the Nation about Texas and textbooks). I think NPR is one of the best sources of news we have available to us, and for free!

    NPR got my vote.

PBS is decent, I remember watching the News Hour with Jim Lehrer and 60 Minutes a lot when I was younger. I fear nowadays their corporate contributors have started to affect their programming, but I don't watch enough to make a clear call.

Looking at the poll I have to disagree with the premise. If the Fox in the list is Fox News, fine - but Fox also provides entertainment on its other channels. The only exclusively news oriented broadcaster in this poll is CNN. A better, more accurate poll would have only CNN, MSNBC and FoxNews as they are the news-only channels.

C-SPAN is the ONLY unbiased network.

Fox national is right, MSNBC is left, CNN is pablum, as are most of the local networks and NPR.

Actually, ABC, CBS and NBC are the big 3.
