Deontology versus utilitarianism.

The right hates me because I'm not built enough to engage in rugged individualism.

The left hates me because I'm not black, female, or gay, so I have no excuse to struggle.

Both sides are addicted to pragmatic appeals to absurdity, so screw'em both.

LOL @ "other"

I was doing research this week - the department of consumerism reported on the sale of furs - being 0.07% of sales . . . but yet 'other' was 42.7% of overall sales in the industry.

WTF is the other **** that they aren't reporting? Stupid lazy ****s. That's government for you! :rofl: So guess what I won't be selling; the furs. :roll:

Try looking at politics as a facet of sociology...it makes much more sense.

Most people look at politics via economics which is very frustrating. They don't consider due process or procedural justice on the basis of discourse ethics. They just consider what effects, results, and outcomes turn up for people to make a living.

People need to consider how they make a living before considering what living they make.

Well the economic view is the easiest to understand. Everyone (almost) has to make a living and since the government is so big now so that has prominence. And of course, the lawyers elected to the Legislature screw up the laws so more lawyers can be employed.
