Re: Is Romney really the man for the office of President

I do not focus on the economy alone when it comes to the POTUS, there are simply far more aspects of the office to consider. Romney has no record in foreign policy...which I see as a very big deal. Obama had no record, but does now...and he seems to be doing well enough to keep me comfortable.

Added to this, is the simple reality that I really do not know what he stands for...this week. I would like to at least have a level of trust in what he says.

The only party label to watch out for these days is "Republican". I'm no fan of Democrats; but they're not "Republicans"; that's the point.

    Quick answer: No.

That answer applies to Obama too.

I keep hearing the right say that they prefer Romney over Obama. Can you please explain why?

Compare his record as a governor to Obama record as a President. Who did a better job? and please explain why?

Those conversant with reality know that didn't happen, at least until the other candidates dropped out (Romney currently holds a 50.9% vote lead in the GOP primary contest).

When he had competition, however, he routinely gathered only about 39.3% of the popular vote in the primaries. Wikipedia has all the numbers here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_GOP_primaries

Romney garnered 40.7% of the combined vote in the early primaries, and only 38% of the combined vote on Super Tuesday.

The OP is pretty comical...considering the guy he is in love with wont even reveal his college transcripts. Oh...but hey...do we REALLY know Romney?
