That is certainly part of the reason he is the GOP candidate. That and he was the only dip **** left standing.

No, you and others only proved your ability to make an argument based upon absurdity.

Republican voters, by and large, did not want Mitt Romney. This was discussed on news/opinion programs pretty much non-stop during the GOP primaries, and that fact is why you righties are now trying to rewrite history in order to sing Mitt's praises (when he rarely got more than 25% of the vote in the primaries). I believe the tag line was "anybody but Mitt". Bottom line, he had the most money and was able to simply outlast his major challengers -- thanks to rich benefactors, who will now probably own him. But since he was born with a sliver spoon in his mouth, he'll probably feel right at home.

Just what we need -- another right wing trust fund baby in the Oval Office. The right didn't learn a thing from George W.

that a rather sad testament about American voters more than anything else.... but meh, party label is everything to a lot of stupid people.

Obama won the 2008 primary on his own merits; not by outlasting the others due to deep pocket benefactors until he simply became the last man standing, despite repeated mediocre vote tallies. The GOP machine wanted Romney; the GOP voters did not. So what you have is a machine candidate, disliked by Tea Partiers and evangelicals. Those nuts wanted Santorum, which tells you where the GOP is headed (mullah-ville).

In 2008 liberals didn't want Hillary Clinton to be president. Earlier this year when Romney went ahead of Obama in the polls, then they wanted Hillary Clinton for president. I notice a similarity. Hmmm...

If they didn't want him as their presidential candidate then its interesting how the majority of registered Republicans voted for him and now he's the GOP nominee for president.

    Strange how that happens...

The GOP didnt have much of a choice. The people who could have given Obama a run for his money(Jeb,Christie, ect) decided not to jump in.
