Are you going to vote in the upcoming presidential election?

Too many people believe that voting is a waste of time. But, it isn't. It is a responsibility of each citizen.

What's the point (other than personal entertainment) of becoming politically educated if one's vote is utterly inconsequential anyway? In a republic of 300 million people, what is the probability that one's vote will affect the outcome? Granted, our system of divided, winner-take-all electoral districts makes it slightly easier, but the prospect remains utterly implausible.

and my vote will mostly cancel out the vote of someone else who does not have the same political lean as me.

One should educate themselves on the issues and canidates and vote.

I will be voting; I have since I was eighteen years old, and I will vote to keep the Republican party out of the White House and from gaining a majority in either House of congress.
God hasn't let me down yet and I have no reason to believe he's going to start now.

I will be voting because to not vote as a political scientist does seem a bit weird.

I will be voting for the best person for the job, Party affiliations are not what they are cracked up to be, all parties have wackos in them

And this is why our country is in the shape that it is in. Whatever happened to voting for the right person regardless of party affiliation?

Oh wait...they refuse to even look at what the other party has to offer. They look at all the negatives and never the positives. All while ignoring their own negatives. (even though they say that they don't)

Well its certainly a waste of time in Kansas if your going to vote for Obama. Its a waste of time if your something other than a Democrat or Republican such as socialist, communist, massive libetarian, fascist, etc.

Yes, but not for Romney or Obama.
