He is trying to hoodwink the people. Corporate role and public administration are two different things.

Politicians go after anything they can. So fair doesn't really apply.

Is the ad honest? No, not really. It is easy to look at the record Bain has (Romney at Bain Capital: Big Gains, Some Busts - WSJ.com), and see they have had both success and failure, which is normal for that type of company. Of course it leaves out the uncomfortable truth that the guy that has gone down this road of attacks (Obama) has received political donations from Bain as well (and yes, he has a record of accepting donations from companies/industries he bashes).

There will be some success with this sort of ad though, due to the many people being uninformed, or too lazy to do their own homework.

The main point about bain as I see it...is simple.

A group running a company and running it well, that produces a good product at a fair price, who grows the business and makes alot of profit...is what capitolism is all about.

Scumbags that buy companies just because they have enough money to do that...and buy it with the intent of just crashing it and without any consideration for the many people they hurt and sometimes destroy in the process for a buck...are ALL THATS WRONG with our system and they are the lowest of life forms.....thats how I see it.....and the gop wants to give these kinds of pigs another tax cut and the workers they hurt badly...the gop wants to make them pay more for medicare and have less social security to give the rich another tax cut....

    Re: Is This Ad Fair?

Point one) It seems as if this is being attributed to Obama himself, when in fact he likely had very little (if anything) to do with it.

Point two) The Ad itself consists of Republicans, trying to rip another Republican apart, thus any dishonesty must be placed ate the feet of the people who made the comments.

Point three) It seems a bit dishonest, to harsh on Obama, considering how much garbage he has had to take over Sylindra...which was basically a Bain Capital move, without the money grab.

    Re: Is This Add Fair?

    1. i hate negative ads. i'd prefer to see them disappear.

    2. what i see in the ad are Republicans pointing out a serious flaw in trickle down economic theory. if trickle down worked as advertised, they wouldn't have had to take that tactic. in reality, trickle down is extremely inefficient at best and a failure at worst. if i were running against that, my strategy would be to highlight the failures of the theory and promote an alternative strategy packaged as "trickle up" economics. simple, easy to understand, and easy to make a compelling case for. this would score more points than attack ad after attack ad.

It's a distortion of the truth. (See the thread I created)
