I did. And from what I can tell, knowing the leanings of many of the people that have participated, most others did also.Oh come on, do you think people are going to honestly answer this poll "politics aside"?
Politics aside. Don't think about the economy, foreign policy, etc. Think about character stuff. You know, like cheating on your wife, being a drunk, or snorting coke. Which POTUS is the most likable guy of the last three? Clinton, W Bush, or Obama.
Well, you'd be the wingman picking up the slack in his wake.Yeah, I gotta go with clinton. He'd be pretty much the best wingman ever.
I have a buddy who was working Camp David in his second administration. Those kinds of stories are pretty common - Bush is a genuinely good person. Makes me sad for the way he was treated.
I used to have a boss that I hated even seeing him much less have an conversation with him. Yet he was the best boss that I ever have worked for. BTW I hear that Hugo Chavez is a nice guy to talk to, personalities really mean nothing for the position of president. Its their actions that matter.
Well the whole point of this poll was "politics aside"....
Yet i would argue about ol Hugo's actions on a different thread because he has turned the country around pretty well but that is not the place for this discussion
Well when you have no where else to go but up... eace
I would love to lock Chavez and W in a room together.
W is in pretty good shape. I bet he'd waste the sucker
I know a fair amount of presidential detail agents
here is what they told me
Ronald Reagan-decent guy-Nancy was a bitch, Ron Jr an asshole I always felt the same about both Ron & Nancy. No opinion on Jr.
Carter-phony Rosalyn decent, amy a brat Jimmy surprises me, but the other two I felt the same.
GHWB. great guy-treated the agents and military like professionals, Threw snappy salutes to medal of honor winners. one war hero to another. Mrs Bush treated agents etc like family. If someone was sick Mrs Bush showed up with soup everyone loved her I can see Bush I being that way, no doubt. I always thought Barbara came off as the most genuinely nicest person. Glad to hear she is.
Clinton-liked him. despite his claims of loathing the military, he treated servicemen and agents with respect I never liked the guy politically, but thought he would be ok personally.
Hillary-the worst-referred to a medal of honor winner in an honor guard "as the help" Does not surprise me one bit.
Chelsea-well liked by the agents Nice polite girl who had no arrogance Also does not surprise me. She always seemed well-rounded and well-raised.
W-well liked-treated people like his fraternity brothers. Not nearly as formal as his father or even Reagan or Clinton. Interesting. When he first took office he insisted that everybody keep their suit coats on and buttoned even while sitting at a desk, so I always thought he was way too formal. Maybe that was for work only, and I can see how he might be less formal away from the office.
genuinely interested in people. I believe that.
wife Laura-a bit like her mother in law I believe that, as well.
girls-not as formal and polite as Chelsea but well liked. not arrogant at all (Ron Reagan jr was the winner of the arrogance award) I had heard that Jenna was kind of wild and Barbara was more down-to-earth, though I never heard of either being a bad person.
the one guy I know who was on an Obama detail is still in the service-no comment but I haven't heard anything bad about the man from secondary sources Always seemed like a decent guy to me, though I'm not sure I'd have much in common with him.
He can certainly dodge well...
I would suspect that SS instructions are a little different outside our country. Not outright forbidden to act that way, but warned to be very careful.I am surprised the secret service didn't kill the shoe thrower
Moderator's Warning: Knock it off
I think lying about the reasons why we go to war and torturing people and detaining them indefinitely are the worse character traits imaginable.

I don't disagree, but we always seem to be more worried about causing an international incident with other countries than other countries do with us.good point-I forgot it was overseas.
the other country's security should have shot him
LOL!!! I nominate this for Post of the Day.
How awesome would that be if it won Post of the Day and received a warning.
I had something similar happen once. Not here, but another forum. I got a warning for something and a private message from a moderator that they all agreed I was right, but they had to maintain order and that I shouldn't be saying stuff like that.I got infracted and tons of likes plus a POTD comment. one person-nameless lest I be infracted again asked who was smarter than he was I said the entire forum. even the mod who infracted me said it was true and funny!!
its happened

That was a good one. But you gotta admit that if Bush wasn't so quick, those shoes would have nailed him right in the face. So you really can't take anything away from the pitcher.
How can you not like GWB lol
