Is the U.S. still "the land of the free"?

People once rushed to America, the land of the free, from all over the world. Do you think that still holds true (the freedom, not the rushing)?

Relative to some countries out there, we still enjoy quite a bit of freedom. But as much as we used to? No.

It could be, if people actually valued freedom (and the responsibility that comes with it).

What might be...if people valued freedom? That would require people to have a cultural epiphany.

Absolutely the land of the free. There are very very few things we cannot do, and those mostly involve infringing on other people's rights. The exceptions to this are there, but not enough to significantly affect our lives.
