    I immediately noticed that trend as well . . . . hmmmm.

As to the explanation of my vote, while my gross income has remained about the same, my net worth has increased due to retirement of debt, accumulated savings, some gains in the stock market (some realized, some not), and perhaps most importantly -- no significant depreciation (loss) on fixed assets.

First, again it was not my point that ANYONE was excluded from anything but rather they didnít participate at a level to be considered.

Secondly, my statement was obviously a failed attempt at sarcasm. My underlying point was that a large percentage of the 99%ers do not pay capital gains taxes hence are not realizing an improving stock market. The chart on this link reveals my point. Essentially 1% of filers in received almost 70% of all ltcg. "The wealthiest 10 percent of taxpayers enjoyed 90 percent of the capital
gains eligible for this special tax break and the poorest sixty percent of Americans, by contrast, collectively receivedjust 2 percent of the capital gains eligible for the lower capital gains rates."

While not specifically but generally it supports my point, that the vast majority are not realizing gains from an improving market.

If you're incapable of making money in the stock market over the last 3 years, you should fire whomever it is who manages your portfolio immediately.
I think what the gentleman was saying is that since Obama has taken office his portfolio has recouped the losses under the Bush administration. He wasn't saying at all that his stocks wasn't making money.

I was just looking at a graph of my personal portfolio. The gains began in 2008. I have not only recouped my looses as well, but have moved slightly ahead. If it keeps this up I think we'll all survive the GOP hit.

Some folks think in terms of left and right. I am more of an up and down kinda guy. You can look at my portfolio graph chart and see when a republican was president. It's all those downward moves. Yet, even during loss periods the rich fat cats just kept getting richer. The wealth being distributed from the lower and middle classes to the upper tier just kept on redistributing. If that doesn't make someone want to scratch their head and go, "Hmmmmm???" I don't know what will.

Sure. Vote republican. **** it up for everybody. (Except the gazillionaires. You'd be doing them a favor. Again.)
