What is the biggest problem facing humanity?

What, in your opinion, is the biggest problem facing humanity? Suppose that you had one wish, which you had to use altruistically to make the world a better place. Which do you think would do the most "good" (however you want to define that), and why?

    - Providing everyone in the world with access to clean water
    - Providing everyone in the world with enough nutritious food
    - Providing everyone in the world with free, high-quality K-12 education
    - Providing everyone in the world with access to Western-quality health care
    - Providing everyone in the world with access to information and communication (e.g. the internet)
    - Bringing peace, stability, and safety to every part of the world
    - Bringing democracy and freedom to every part of the world
    - Developing a 100% clean, very cheap source of energy that could be produced and distributed anywhere in the world
    - Developing an effective, efficient transportation infrastructure in all parts of the world

    Twidiots/Twitheads and Redditoeconomists.

For what it's worth out of the available options I voted peace stability and security. None of the others are possible without achieving that one.

Nobody who wins a war indulges in a bifurcated definition of victory. War is a political act; victory and defeat have meaning only in political terms. A country incapable of achieving its political objectives at an acceptable cost is losing the war, regardless of battlefield events.

Bifurcating victory (e.g. winning militarily, losing politically) is a useful salve for defeated armies. The "stab in the back" narrative helped take the sting out of failure for German generals after WWI and their American counterparts after Vietnam.

All the same, it's nonsense. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, show me a political loser, and I'll show you a loser.

i voted clean water,it does no good to offer the rest when most countries have masses of people dying from dehydration because their water supply is undrinkable.i guess a number 2 would be food since most countries with undrinkable water also usually have no food.

its kinda bad when so many in africa cant even drink their own water yet a simple water purification system would help, but then again sb brings up a good point, without peace the warlords would just take the water purifiers and food anyways.

Clean, cheap source of energy that can be produced anywhere. You have that, you solve most if not all of the other problems.

It would have to be provided all with quality education. Without that, none of the other good answers to the poll would have a chance of making it. We need smart people, to create new ideas, to get good results. It also helps, that those with a good education, do not fall victim to Radicals, and cleansing techniques.

I voted food , because if you can't have a good meal you can't think.

But the biggest thing that humanity is missing is a goal , something that they entire human race dreams works for , yes , we all want food , water , energy , peace even internet for all , but how much of our GOP goes into that goal ? How much of the population works for that goal ?

Providing everyone in the world with enough nutritious food
Providing everyone in the world with access to Western-quality health care
Bringing peace, stability, and safety to every part of the world

-These would bring to increase to natural growth and that would bring more harm then good and making these goals impossible

Providing everyone in the world with access to Western-quality health care

-Is this Ee type or US type?

Bringing democracy and freedom to every part of the world

    -That is pure egocentric

    I am going with
Providing everyone in the world with free, high-quality K-12 education
-We need first to learn people why they should have 20 children and then give them all other thing also this would help us advance more quickly in all ways you cannot have education, healthcare, industry without high educated people(teachers, doctors, engineers etc.)

    Freedom is number one.

    'Everybody knows it doesn't work'

Despite receiving more than $1 trillion from the west over the last half century, Africa remains in dire economic straits.

More than $1 trillion has been sent to Africa over the last 50 years. And what has it all achieved? She wants to know. "Between 1970 and 1998, when aid flows to Africa were at their peak, poverty in Africa rose from 11% to a staggering 66%" - roughly 600 million of Africa's billion people are now trapped in poverty.
