You cannot remove hate if you remove hate you remove love same is with matter and anti-matter that is how world works.

Entirely, no. Human's are a socially grouping species which inherently seeks to find ways to justify their group typically at the expense of others. Liberals and Conservatives, Redskin fans and Cowboy Fans, Coke vs Pepsi, Ford vs Chevy, College Football vs NFL, Geeks vs Jocks, Stoners vs Cops, Northerners and Southerners, American and Foreigners, Europeans and Yankees, Christians vs Muslims, Managers vs Employees, Your business vs your Competitor, Mac vs Windows, iPhone vs Android, and on and on and on....

It's a base thing in human nature that will never entirely be wiped out.

Racism in the human species will never go away.

Agree it will probably never go away. Its taught so until people stop teaching it, it will never end.

But it always gets better, races are more united in america now than they have ever been.

People become smarter and more educated and more experienced to issues like these.

It could end one day but we wont see it, neither will my great, great grand kids.

I believe that we can get rid of it or least make the issue so minute that its practically gone if we do the following-

1.Stop giving air time to race parasites to Al Sharpton, Jessy Jackson and race card players. Just like the KKK,Black Panthers, La Raza, Nazis and other racist these scum foster resentment towards other races.

2.Stop focusing on race.Every American citizen is an American,so we should get rid of labels like african American, European American, Mexican American and any other hyphenated Americans. We should ban applications from asking someone their race.TV shows should show more interracial couples, mixed adoptions,bi-racial children and adults as though it is something normal instead of a stand against racism. American history should be integrated, there should be no black history month.Race and ethnic focused classes should be banned in public schools and schools that receive public money(like what Arizona did), these types of classes only foster resentment towards other races.

3.End affirmative action.Kind of hard to say that race doesn't matter if we have laws that say it does.

humans tend to shift into tribes instinctively. it's no real surprise; for the majority of the time primates have been evolving, that's been the way to survive.

similarly, my guess is that some of the racism is hard wired. if one saw a tribe coming over the hill who looked significantly different, chances are that they weren't coming to bring beer and party before leaving peacefully the next day.

the situation is significantly different now, though. a shrinking world and a global economy and society ties our fates together like at no other point in history. while it may take evolution a while to catch up, i think if we make it, racial prejudice will erode to reflect the times and the mission. it's also worth mentioning that races evolved during a status quo of geographical isolation that is less and less prevalent each year.

will racism ever completely disappear? i would say that it's going to be more like approaching an object by dividing the distance between by half each time. we might never actually reach the object, but we'll be so close that it won't matter.

Its not that I disagree but theres some flaws

1.) this is an attack on free speech, yes it sucks but these people have it too. But in general yes the MEDIA/PRESS shouldn't cater to these media mutts and give them FREE airtime. Just like football and wrestling made the decisions to TRY not to show fights or people running on the field/ring so maybe they will stop because they dont get on TV.

2.) I agree with this one but again people and MEDIA both need to help this. Nobody in REAL life says african american thats a STUPID pc term made up. We are all AMERICANS.

applications with race on them Im fine with as demographics isnt an issue to me.

TV shows are already doing this and have been , its how some of the strides have been made with blacks, interracial couples and gays over the last two decades or so.

American history SHOULD be integrated I agree with that.

as far as banning special studies, thats meaningless to me. As long as those classes are ELECTIVES they are perfectly fine. If these classes foster resentment in people those people already have a problem.

as far as a month, day, week dedicated to a race, religion, gender etc etc I have no problem with that either. Theres probably a million of these things, they are also meaningless and again people that take resentment against them already have a problem.

3.) AA/EO isnt going anywhere and isnt a problem at all. The problem is people who abuse the rules, break the laws and cheat and then falsely claim AA/EO.

The solution to this is already listed above dont give into baseless crybaby groups and people that are part of the problem and not part of the solution.

I completely agree. And the first two you mention are the worst. The others? They're so blatant that they've been marginalized, I think.

I heard a black man on a call-in radio show (Chicago WLS) say, "I'm a Negro. It's what I am and what I call myself. I'm not African-American. I resent the word." The talk show host said, "Well, I think that's great, and I completely understand. But what I want you to know is that I can't even use that word on the radio." What have we come to?

3.End affirmative action.Kind of hard to say that race doesn't matter if we have laws that say it does.

I think I'd probably say "fix it" rather than end it...and only because we've done such a dismal job of educating blacks in the United States. They need the "hand up."

Another good one, Luna.
I am of the opinion that racism will go away, in the year 3012.
Even now, it is evaporating, much as water does, and if we learn to think and reason better than water, then it will go away, ever so slowly. There are many who are not honest with themselves, being honest will help...

And you are stating that "blacks" are racist and "whites" are not ????
wow...

As long as the mental, psychological and spiritual disorder known as Racism, Bigotry and Irrational Hate goes undetected for what what it is and untreated by society as a whole, then there is absolutely zero reason to believe that you will ever remove the self-destructive reality of Racism.

Detect the illness. Treat the patient. Be the cure.

If one cured prejudice because of race, we'd be just as likely to be prejudiced against blue-eyed blondes. It's the nature of the human spirit. Just watch children...

Racism anywhere will probably never go away__Well, at least not for a very, very, very long time.

The only thing we can do is to ensure that racism will never be government sanctioned and socially accepted.

(for which up till now we have failed miserably)

Eliminating racism isn't about eliminating hate. You'll never eliminate hate, and you shouldn't want to-- hate serves a purpose. It's a good thing.

Eliminating racism is about eliminating race as a standard of assigning human beings into categories. To that end, I would propose first that we eliminate all laws, projects, and programmes that make reference to race, and then on a cultural level run a grassroots campaign of voluntary free-spirited reproductive integration.

Racism will never end so long as people need an excuse for their personal failures. Playing the victim is easier than looking in the mirror.

Indeed it is__Hatred inspires us to rid civilization of life's miseries.

Death, disease, pestilence, infestation, war, slavery, poverty, famine, etc.

Racism is not inspired by labels or categories, but by fear which is the primary survival tool of all living creatures.

Fear prevents whitey from walking down an unlit street in an inner city ghetto after dark.

Or blacky from entering a redneck honky-tonk in Bloodybucket Alabama on a saturday night.

and then on a cultural level run a grassroots campaign of voluntary free-spirited reproductive integration.
Social Re-construction is already in full swing due to the expert inspiration and manipulation of hollywood and television.

The transition period is the tuffest but in 20 generations or so we'll all look alike__Be assured, it'll be something else by then.

Of course it will go away. Genetics and interracial marriage will solve the racism problem in the end. When the world has become as "small" as it has then it is inevitable that everyone become the same color/race.

We have failed miserably.

Any time we give special consideration to one group, ESPECIALLY when we give it to one group and not another, then that breeds more contempt and distrust between races.

That is what our government does at this point.

I was about to post something similar. They predict that by the end of this century that most children will have very similar appearance in skin and hair color. We have already completely lost some unique traits such as yellow eyes that once occurred due to genetic dilution.

Will people hating others because of their race go away...... probably

Will people in the US be skeptical or suspicious of a new group of people immigrating to the US...... always
