Black on white crime isn't as important to the media.
Equal attention is given to black on white racist attacks.
It's racist to ask this question.
Three men plead guilty to federal hate crimes in Mississippi killing - CNN.com
The race angle emerged because it was a storyline that seems to get overreaction from both sides. The real story ought to be about the stand your ground law, not on any particular individual, it's a stupid law. At what point do you differentiate between an aggressor and self-defense? Once the aggression has taken place, they were both defending themselves. If Martin had killed Zimmerman instead, he could legitimately claim to be threatened from being followed by a stranger, would he have gotten the same protection from the law that Zimmerman did? Should we even want that?
I always laugh at white people complaining about crimes committed against them not getting fair coverage. Lol. C'mon white people. You guys get a missing white girl plastered on my TV every 2-3 weeks. Not just a missing white girl, but an all American missing white girl I'm supposed to care about. Show me a single dead black woman who is within 1000 news articles of all the articles written about Natalie Holloway and I'll give a corresponding donation to the forum.
Seriously white people who complain about "black on white crimes" or whatever bitching it is you're doing about crimes committed against whites. **** off. Let us have our token moment. You guys can have the rest of the decade to come up with blond missing/dead white kids the rest of the country is supposed to care about.
That little Toddler in Tiara kid Jean Bennett Ramsey cast away died like 15 years ago and we're STILL talking about her as if she was some sort of celebrity. When's the last time a dead little black girl made those kind of headlines? I don't know. I don't think I've been alive long enough to see it happen. Then again I'm pretty young. When's the last a black toddler killed in a drive by shooting got 6 months of press coverage trying to investigate who the killer may have been? Never. They get some mention in local news and then it's moving on with little care for whether the police find the killer. So with all that said, forgive me for not feeling all that bad about the media passing over certain stories concerning "black on white" crimes.

I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. - MLK
Well I had a conservative friend from work try to throw that to black boys burning a white boy alive thing in my face, and I said no I haven't heard about it, he claimed a radio show said it recently happened. Then I asked my wife about it and she said it was all over the news......a year ago. So my point is, we do indeed hear about black on white crime and vice versa, its just, the tv fingerbangs our eyes with so much colors and data that we forget most of it 6 months later. I guarantee most of you forget about this 6 months from now as well.
"We’re going to close the unproductive tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share. In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s crazy." -Reagan
Zimmerman came along during an election cycle, and the Democratic Party needs to lynch them a white man for a 'hate crime', even if it means their media fakes photos, doctors phone calls, keep portraying The Angel Martin as acute, pixie-like 12 year old, and generally scream for his blood; they really need a big turnout of the racist vote to make up for their utter failure to deliver anything they promised, even when they had that majority they needed.
As for 'equal coverage' of hate crimes, that's a lot of baloney. If you need 'data', just go collect your own. Stand on a street and ask people if they've heard of Rodney King, or James Byrd, or Tawana Brawley, or Trayvon Martin. After that, then ask them if they remember the name of even one of the 6 victims of the Wichita Massacre, or Channon Christian, or Heather Muller, and get back to us with the results. Aaron Sanders, anybody? No peeking on Google now ...
Also, don't forget to show up and lead a cheer for OJ when he gets out of the pen; he's a major hero, having literally gotten away with butchering a pretty blond white woman; people actually stood along freeways in LA to cheer him on. What a lovely, enlightened town LA is, eh?

At what point did history become ethics? Why should we subvert the elusive search for facts to moralist concerns? If you want to be a preacher, go preach. If you want to save the world, go into politics. If you want to invent a world free of evil, take Prozac. -Dave Williams, George Mason Univ.
i think its just that no one,
especially media outlets,
wants to be labeled 'racist'.
and there are more black people and groups ready to use that label than there are whites.
if white people had their own jesse jackson, al sharpton, or white panthers,
the media would be pressured to care more about crimes against white people.
but also you have to ask
if there were thousands of white people taking to streets in protest
over those crimes.
if there were thousands of whites protesting all over the country,
and the miami heat were wearing overalls instead of hoodies,
im sure the media wouldve covered it.
The answers options are incomplete. You need a choice for "black on white crime is the media's favorite flavor".
black-on-white crime is reported in the media all the time.
but unless there is evidence that its a hate-crime, its not reported as a hate-crime.
