Prostitution should not be legal, but not for the reasons you added to the poll option.

    Blackmail.

Yes, blackmailing should be legal. If you don't want people to find out you touch children, don't touch children.

If someone finds out and wants to charge you a fee for the service of keeping your secret, **** you don't touch children.

...or fraud or what/who you did in collage or as a kid or that discrete backroom deal or that night in the hotel in another country with the oh so discrete escort service or the camera behind the mirror at the BSDM parlor....

There isn't a word you've just written that's in any way relevant to the topic.

From a human rights perspective, there can never exist any such a relationship in which a man would purchase and own the body of a woman as a commodity.

Legalized prostitution greatly exacerbates underground sex-slave human trafficking. Most nations which legalized prostitution, re-banned it after experiencing this truth. The oldest records of prostitution were of slaves.

Your typical prostitute comes from an abused background, enters prostitution out of desperation and/or coercion (not free choice) and becomes trapped in a life of physical, sexual, emotional, and drug abuse. This is not the life of an independent and free adult choosing to perform a service for a fee. This is a life of being owned and abused.

Those are all your opinions. Legalizing and regulating it would clean up many of the things people don't like about it. We supposedly live in a free country, why shouldn't we let consenting adults do what they please?

Of course prostitution should be decriminalized.

Many countries thought that before, and were sadly.... disappointed...with reality.

Would you be interested in taking this discussion up a level with sources and structured arguments? If not, I'm perfectly ok with that, I have other things I can do.

The only argument I need is we should be staying out of people's bedroom and let consenting adults do what they want...
