It isn't kind of anything. It is their fault. No one forced them to do anything. They did it on their own free will. End of story.

Though really, how ****ed up to do you need to be to ask this question?

This totally disregards a persons circumstances. What would you do if you had a kid that needed surgery but they wouldn't give it unless you had insurance or a job? And you had no job, much less insurance. Or what if you were on the brink of losing your house and as such you and your wife and child were going to be living in the streets?

My point is that sometimes people will do things like this because they NEED to. Not because they want to. Stupidity and/or smarts takes a backseat in times such as described above.

Not that I agree with asking for someones password now.
Giving them your password allows them access to information about all of your facebook friends. I have friends in Afghanistan, so if they want my password, they can suck me.
I love the NSA. It's like having a secret fan-base you will never see, but they're there, watching everything you write and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that I may be some person's only form of unconstitutional entertainment one night.

basically, it has the potential to spread like coercive drug testing at time of hire. that started small, but now it's pretty much everywhere. i'd prefer to see the workforce protected from this kind of invasive nonsense.
