I do think liberals are a bit more apt to use the race card.

Disagree? Look at Maddow and the other liberals who are only too happy and quick to play the race card. Am I just supposed to agree that both sides use the race card equally, even though that's not the case?

I suppose both sides have equal views on abortion, illegal immigration, and every other issue and thing out there.

Sharpton is a self-serving promoter who should be on one of those television channels like the baptist preachers have - selling salvation at $50 a pop. He's a joke.

And yet as this thread has shown you do not even know what racism or race baiting is. SO sorry that I don't take your claim seriously. You are spending all your time worrying about liberal race baiters, which by your definition, makes you a hypocrite. Well done!

And I think conservatives are more apt to play the "race card" card and/or resort to the oppressed white man mantra. What exactly is your point?

(2) So, there seems to be a double-standard in this country.

I think there's a double standard in this country and I want that standard erased and replaced with fairness for all, in which black and white racists are called out equally, and given equal castigation. You may not think the possible or practical, but it's a belief worth sticking to because it's fair.

By your definition, you mean. You're assuming I only take issue with liberal racists/race-baiters, when that's not the case. But feel free to continue your incorrect accusations.

If I think a white man who would be castigated far worse than Al for doing the same thing to black people, I'm going to voice my opinion.

Obsession with 'the other' is a total waste of time. From outside it is obviously and digustingly racist, but discussing it is like nazis discussing the percentiage of Jewish 'blood' in, say, Stauss. Why don't you recognise the crime of enslaving people and say it happened before your time, to other people. Why are you all so keen to take on the guilt?

At least you're being fair on that point.

Thunder illuminates my point VERY clearly, in that he doesn't think AL is a racist, yet he claims Neal is for having that avatar. My pov is that all men and women should be treated fairly regarding race.
