So do people need expereince to comment on something or don't they NP. You have said it both ways now. Which is it?

Then by your own logic, I don't have to have combat experience to know that women should be allowed to serve in combat as long as they can meet the physical requirements.

It's very easy for someone who has no clue about being a woman to say they shouldn't serve. If they were one, they might have a different opinion.

I think women, especially equal rights activists, should be required to serve in combat.

So I take it you reject out of hand the notion that any women could possibly meet the standards that men must meet in order to fight?

Unless the military dumbs down the standard, the average woman will have to work much harder than the average man to "meet the standards that men must meet."

Obviously, yes. But that wasn't the question that I asked.
 
If a woman meets the same physical standards for combat that a man has to meet then I see no problem with it.

The rub is that women do not have to meet the same standard as men and yet are put into several of the same rolles, to include verious combat positions.

And that's fine. If the standards of the job require X, then a woman should have to meet X to do the job. If that means only a small percentage of women can actually qualify for combat positions then so be it. The job is important enough that the standards shouldn't be reduced just to let women join. However, there is no reason not to let the few who CAN meet those standards serve.
 
If they meet the same physical requirements who cares. The problem is that is not what will happen. Just like police and fire etc their standards will be lower, it is inevitable. So I say no.

No because women cannot be as strong as men and I don't think so they can combat.
