Public forum, I answer whatever I want. Thanks for your concern though. Your answer really doesn't explain anything. For example, I think too our job is long overdue for being done, We should have withdrawn right after Bin Laden was killed, that was a perfect opportunity for us to proclaim "mission accomplished", and egressed the theater for good. That being said, I feel the administration is afraid of the view that they don't have the stones to carry out the mission and instead of thinking of the welfare of the troops, are instead, more concerned with re-election. Given this concern, we seem to be dithering in Afghanistan, sitting there providing security and training to people who no longer wish to have it, causing stress for both our troops, and the civillian populace in afghanistan.

We where out our welcome and they'll revert to the taliban. It is a grave mistake remaining there.

More Fox News drivel that you cannot substantiate. And you are asking why the Iraq Veterans Against the War have been less active since the Obama ended the Iraq War? I bet if you think about it long enough, you can figure that out all by yourself. But if you still can't, come back and I will explain it to you.

Funny, most of the veterans, and active service members I deal with, including through the wounded warrior foundation, disagree with you. but hey, if you want to just throw out unsubstantiated claims be my guest.
    Its not an unsubstantiated claim:

"In a new Pew Research Center report on war and sacrifice, half of post-9/11 veterans said the Afghanistan war has been worth fighting. Only 44% felt that way about Iraq, and one-third said both wars were worth the costs."
Survey: Veterans say Afghanistan, Iraq wars not worth it - CNN.com

They became less active the day he took office. I don't watch fox news, chief, you have a little foam at the corner of your mouth there.

I love when people take single polls that agree with thier ideologue ways and post them as the be all end all truth. When one is war weary as this nation is, you should expect some of this sentiment, however, you wait ten years and have pew ask them again.

I usually don't put much stock in polls unless I take an average of several.

It only took a few (3?4?) months for that to start happening. Do you really expect the Pentagon to act faster than that considering the situation?

I think you've made your disdain of the Iraq Veterans Against the War clear enough.

The Pew Research Center is one of the most respected polling organizations, and all we have to dispute them is your unsubstantiated opinion. Shrugging your shoulders really doesn't make up for that fact, though you may think it does.

maybe they are, but the pragmatic amongst us would take a sampling of multiple polls.

Not a veteran no, but I did provide two years service to my country for only room and board and a $15 a month stipend the first year and a $20 a month stipend for my second year. My Grandfather was in the Calvary in WW I, my Dad was a tank Commander in WW II, my brother was on the USS Coral Sea in Vietnam, and my son has been in the Air Force 20 years (in August) and has served 4 tours of duty in the Persian Gulf.

    Why do you ask?

Well don't just sit there and shrug if you have a poll as credible as the one by the Pew Research Center, post it on up to prove your claim.

Otherwise................... you have nothing but your opinion.

I just like to know who thinks they speak for me.

and the opinions of my brothers and sisters at the VFW, the AL, the WWP, and other places. Please forgive me when I don't take stock in a single poll and and ideologue trumping it. Like I said, we are war weary, a poll like that is unsuprising, if not seeking an answer when it polls, It's taking advantage of human emotion.

Just as I thought, as usual you can post up nothing to back up your claim. It took long enough to get you to admit it.

In order to "get out" now, we must cut.
It was a mistake 10 years ago, and its a mistake now....
Hopefully , this time, we can learn.
    I remember Vietnam.......and now Afghanistan.... ..what next.........Iran
