SO you should have no problem showing the quote where he actually did compare himself to those two. Read beyond the headline and find it please.

    Here's the headline...

Delusions of grandeur, Mr President? Obama compares himself to Gandhi and Mandela

The article uses the same quotes and Ibama never compares himself to Gandhi or Mandela.

Yet the right likes to believe it's a liberal media.

The speech in context was about change, how the ordinary citizen is necessary and how it takes time. His mentioning these great men let's us in, as ordinary people, as to who inspires him, who he wishes to emulate:

‘The civil rights movement was hard,’ he told his audience of donors, while talking about how difficult it is to bring about 'change' in politics.
‘Winning the vote for women was hard. Making sure that workers had some basic protections was hard.
‘Around the world, Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, what they did was hard. It takes time. It takes more than a single term.
It takes more than a single president. It takes more than a single individual.
'What it takes is ordinary citizens who keep believe, who are committed to fighting and pushing and inching this country closer and closer to our highest ideals.

Neither of them did. Do we need a section of the forum devoted to Ron Paul worship?

I don't think that he is literally "comparing" his accomplishments to those of these people directly as that sounds like an exaggeration, but I'm sure that sometimes he may equate his goals with those of Gandhi, Mandela, etc. for propaganda purposes.

Who said anything about worship? And why wouldn't Ron Paul deserve the Nobel Prize for Peace when, for more than 20 years, he has consistently stood for peace and fought against aggressive war (regardless of public opinion or who's waging the war)? Obama, on the other hand, most definitely did not deserve the prize.

I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.
