OK, there's been a lot of noise about gas prices. Here's a chance for the haters to tell us how much of a utopia we'd be living in if Obama hadn't won.

Probably a bit lower, just because corporations are deathly afraid of Obama to the point that they sit on treasury liquidity like it may evaporate into thin air. This would have a moderate affect on gas prices, and create a chain of causation.

I voted 3 because there was no option for higher, We would be in a 3rd war while still maintaining heavy military influence in Iraq and Afghanistan as well. It boggles my mind how some are blaming lack of drilling permits and sanctions for high oil prices while simultaneously calling for war with Iran.

McCain = Obama pretty much. The only major difference today if McCain would have won is that we wouldn't have got Obamacare but the courts will overturn that so in the end the differences are small.

About the same. I think maybe a bit more stable and probably around 10 or 15 cents lower, the Macondo well did not help and we still have a lot of overregulation that either Obama or McCain would have had to deal with.

I don't think there is enough real difference between the two that there would have been that much of a difference.

Probably about the same. McCain was weak as a *conservative* candidate, and would barely have been any different from what we have. On the plus side, we most likely wouldn't have the atrocious health care reform looming in our future, so overall, I would have preferred McCain any day over Obama.

Exactly, McCain isn't exactly a conservative and his economic policies were about as liberal as Obama's. Plus I think the democrat super majority would have rolled McCain.

Now, substitute Reagan for McCain, and gas would probably be about a dollar per gallon.

Possibly, but then again it's impossible to know with all the hyper partisan BS coming from D.C. right now.
