Is Obama just really Bush II?

I mean look at the evidence and similarities of what Obama has done-

1.He continues wars in the middle east and will likely attack Iran if elected another term
    2. Like Bush passed a expensive healthcare bill (Bush's was medicare part D)
    3. Passed into law a act for military drones to patrol our own skies while keeping the patriot act. (obviously Bush passed the Patriot Act)
    4. Continues to pile on debt like Bush
    5. Does nothing about immigration like Bush
    6. Continues tax breaks for the rich, case in point he is now wanting to take the corporate tax from 34% to 28%.

That being said I think the republican canidates for 2012 would be Bush III to 99th power, except for Ron Paul.

Nope, Bush is/was 10X worse than Obama. Why do you think our economy is "recovering"?
I'm coming to see that no matter what law we regulate, be it the stand your ground act, there is never an objective morally right answer to any morale question; in fact, since there are multiple objectively right answers to every moral question that leaves us with a lot of grey area and a lot of black area (not in the racial since).

I hate to nitpick... but wouldn't he technically be Bush III?

Well I think you know what I'm getting at there Hatuey, there's no way Obama could be a Bush in name. I'm talking about him having the same policies as GW Bush.

You will be hard pressed to find dramatic results from one administration to the next, but within those limited changes there is a distinction.

To say I'm disappointed in Obama is an understatement. He did, however, some things that Dubbya would never have done. I appreciate that Obama finally got rid of "don't ask don't tell", and has removed administration support of DOMA. +2 He didn't get RID of DOMA. -1 He did implement a universal health care plan for those Americans who cannot get insurance... +1... then dithered around trying to "compromise" with the GOP until the bill was gutted and he no longer controlled both houses of congress. -1 He managed to save the US auto industry with bailouts... +1... then tried to salvage corrupt banks and mortgage companies the same way, with no controls to prevent them from using those bailouts to give bonuses to the corrupt executives that had already screwed us. -2

If I cared enough to spend more time on this topic, I could probably fill the entire page... but I don't care enough. Bottom line with me is a slight +... but damned slight. I would say he disappointed me, but since he's nothing more than a professional campaigner with a great smile, I had no real expectation of him in the first place.

Nobody who wins a war indulges in a bifurcated definition of victory. War is a political act; victory and defeat have meaning only in political terms. A country incapable of achieving its political objectives at an acceptable cost is losing the war, regardless of battlefield events.

Bifurcating victory (e.g. winning militarily, losing politically) is a useful salve for defeated armies. The "stab in the back" narrative helped take the sting out of failure for German generals after WWI and their American counterparts after Vietnam.

All the same, it's nonsense. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, show me a political loser, and I'll show you a loser.
