Political parties in presidential election years have one goal above all others and that is to take the White House. The tea party faction badly misplayed their hand and allowed their lack of national organization or leadership to leave them without a candidate. That only weakens them.
I think your analysis is premature. It's still early. There is a reason why Romney is not "inevitable." And we won't know who the Veep nom will be until one candidate is chosen. My only prediction is that if gas prices top $5, the incumbent will lose votes.

Any chance of the Central Government seeing the errors of their ways...and shutting down? I think the same question was once raised with the old Soviet Union Government. As we see...it was shutdown. Now the Russian Mafia runs the show. I don't think we want any Mafia running our show...and especially the Italian Mafia. Look at the mess they're in. Besides, the Pope has already had too many chances.

The Tea Party was never relevant...only a bump in the road for Boehner and his crew.

The tea party faction had its chance and they blew it opting to do nothing.

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

I agree, HM. The Tea Party Caucus thought they could walk into Congress and strong arm their way into a backdoor leadership role...and play heroes. It blew up in their face...and whats worse, they aren't getting a lot of their own membership, which I think would be publicly raising hell with the Republican Party members who have basically shunned the Tea Party members to show them really, really strong support.

The tea party wasn't relevant because they were just a bunch of republicans being controlled by corporate america...
I'm coming to see that no matter what law we regulate, be it the stand your ground act, there is never an objective morally right answer to any morale question; in fact, since there are multiple objectively right answers to every moral question that leaves us with a lot of grey area and a lot of black area (not in the racial since).

How do you feel about OWS?
They were the ones who invented the sexual innuendo themselves. Unless you think this is pro-Obama:

The problem is the people that follow the tea party don't follow that logic.

They weren't relevant to begin with, they are just a bunch of neo cons hiding behind a different label and have consistantly done nothing for the country. In my opinion the Tea Party was just a distraction to the public to act like it was some new revolutionary party when in fact they are just republicans with the same tax cutting and war mongering mind set. Boner will hopefully be crying his way off that chair real soon.
"Rome is the mob. Conjure magic for them and they’ll be distracted. Take away their freedom and still they’ll roar. The beating heart of Rome is not the marble of the senate, it’s the sand of the coliseum. He’ll bring them death – and they will love him for it.” - Senator Gracchus (Gladiator)

I voted maybe. It is impossible to tell unless it happens.

I personally find the TEA party to be a comical movement in general. They preach that the problem with America is that we spend too much. I assume this will mean that we also don't take in enough. Sadly, their idea of a balanced budget is to reduce social spending, increase military spending, dangerously deregulate (further shifting the already precarious wealth gap), and lower taxes. This is absurd to a comical degree. Why would someone who is pro-freedom restrict the freedom of gays and women? Only Thomas Jefferson is smart enough to contradict himself and still be effective.
