Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children. We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors, we borrow it from our Children. ~ Ancient American Indian Proverb

The Right hates him because the Left loves him. And, as far as I can tell... the only reason that the Left loves him anymore is that the Right hates him.
Both reactions are utterly irrational. He's an incompetent President following on the heels of another incompetent President, who inherited a nation in a disastrous state and endeavored with all due diligence to make it worse. There's a limit to how many more years of this bull**** our nation can survive-- pessimistic estimates are less than another full term-- so people are rightfully doing everything possible to get him out of office.
Only problem is, I'm not seeing any indication that they're trying to replace him with anything better.

He's incompetent, but not as a sucker at his job as the right makes him out to be, nor is the anti-Christ.
I would say MB (congrats if you know what MB means) is slightly better than him, after all, he ramped up South Korea's economy immensely, while ****ing up human rights and social policies
And he said to Saint Peter "One more soldier reporting for duty, sir. I served my time in HELL"

People can argue all day whether economic security or human rights are more important, but at the end of the day, if you're making significant improvements in one at the expense of the other, you're still making some kind of progress.
What do you call a leader that sacrifices both?

Largely because the attacks from the right are idiotic and often simply false. They cry out that he's an enemy of religion, that he's a subversive Muslim, that he's a socialist, that he's out to destroy American business. None of these accusations have any basis in reality. So no, there really isn't a need to spend much energy opposing these statements. Reality does that on its own.
As to whether Obama is "that bad". He's not bad at all. He's okay. Not a superhero, not bad at being president. Certainly much better than his predecessor, and not better than the predecessor before that. Obama's policies haven't made anything worse, and obviously haven't magically fixed all of the problems America faces. The eight years of Bush really were that awful and really did plunge America into all kinds of bad places. The work of the past three years have started us on the road to recovery. It will probably take at least as long to fix things as it did to wreck them, probably longer, and the economic problems that the US faces have been building for decades.
Obama has done a good job restoring respect for the United States abroad, done more to defeat Al Qaeda than in the years previous, and held corrupt financial institutions responsible for the damage they've done. Obama has done just fine.
And no, not everyone who opposes Obama is a racist. But plenty who do are.
The word "militant" is applied to religious people when they bomb buildings full of innocent people and to atheists when they speak with a non-deferential tone.

Bold: Talking point. We still had plenty of respect abroad. The people that didn't respect us then are the same ones that don't respect us now. And kowtowing to other countries is disrespectful to Americans.
Underlined: He's done nothing different than what Bush did. Only difference is that Osama got killed on Obama's watch and not Bush's.
Rest: Now THAT is a laugh. He did the same thing that Bush did and bailed out those corrupt corporations, only with a ton more money.
No, Obama is not the anti-christ, he's not attacking religion, but he is just as incompentent as Bush was.
I have an answer for everything...you may not like the answer or it may not satisfy your curiosity..but it will still be an answer. ~ Kal'Stang

Yes.
- Obama has the completely wrong way to go about improving healthcare;
- Obama fuels the fires of racism and class warfare instead of bringing an end to these social conflicts;
- Obama has embarrassed the country abroad with his apology ture and accepting the Nobel Peace Prize knowing he didn't earn it;
- Obama does not support private ownership of arms;
- Obama holds that born children are a punishment, not people.
- Obama is pro-choice.
- It's not that Obama is pro-ssm, it's that he doesn't care that half of those SSMs will end in divorce. He's just using people.
