I'd be happy to if it weren't for the fact that junkies have all sorts of nasty other ways of infecting acceptable people.

If you think allowing HIV infection to run rampage in American society is merely a threat to those individuals who are infected, then you are wrong and your point of view overlooks the very simple fact that a lack of government controls on containing HIV infection among drug users poses a direct threat to you and your society and your family, and not just your money by wasting it.

We've done that for decades now. What do you suggest we do about that?

The people of, course, they pay for everything.
And to be really mean-spirited, this will reduce the surplus population...
But, to be serious, I think the people are smarter than this...the figure is closer to say 1% of "Hokeyville", or 1.5 people....

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

No, but I've been bitten by one. And sometimes they rape.

People don't 'seem' to get it. The vast majority of drugs that are currently illegal were illegalised in order to deport mexicans or incarcerate recently freed slaves in this century and in the last. Before then society had free usage of anything anyone could ever want and last I checked were not in a post apocalyptic state.

Another thing people don't seem to get is that drug usage will occur despite its legal status and that the inavailability of clean needles is a direct burden on society. Peoples haughty 21st century family values morality aside, were going to save more money by giving people needles to do whateverthe****isit that they do rather than chastise them and have many more suffer in numbers many factor larger.

Nobody cares if you don't like it because its iwwegal and drugs r bad mmkay.
As for catching addicts at the needle exchange or drug ween-off clinic prepare for a human rights ****storm and a hefty jail bill for locking them all up.

Clean needles are available. Where they aren't, make it so they are.

It's only a threat to those who engage in activities which facilitate the spread of HIV.

So if the HIV cook gets his blood on your burger that's good for you?
