It's very easy to stand on a stage and tell the american people exactly what they want to hear and how easy it's going to be for him to fix those problems. But since he's unethical, a liar, and a cheat, with a record to prove it, it would be impossible to believe he would actually do any of the things he would promise.

So no. He isn't a good person.

He appears to be a womanizing psychopath.

And the sad thing is, I actually respected him just a few months ago.

Black and White Records don't matter in politics. People play like they aren't real...or claim that some liberal or conservative media person or outlet just makes it up.

You could have actually pictures of Newt having sex with a mistress and people would ignore or deny it's real.

You could have Offshore bank owners testify that Romney had 100s of millions in their banks and it would be considered a matter of no importance.

You could have pictures of Obama having private dinner with the CEO of Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan...with him taking a check from each of them for a million bucks each...and naaaaaaaahhhhh. Nobody would believe it.

Politicians legalized liars...they've legislated themselves above the law.

As far as personal character. Maybe our politicians are nothing but a mirror of our society. That's why nobody cares.

A good point, James, but only on the short term.
Cutting corners ( as put) is NOT necessarily bad....having the "corners" can be wastful....and guess who pays for this waste.
Stuff is crappy today (and its always been that way) as a bad attitude exists... both labor, government, and management..

    Gingrich is a douchebag.

I think its extremely difficult to judge the type of person someone is in terms of them being "good" or not simply based off their public persona and the pieces of their personal life that is deemed juicey enough to be reported in the news.

I agree, but I can't imagine Gingrich actually doing something so good that it would outweight the fact that he cheated on two wives, while both were seriously ill and in need of support. If the man is despicable enough to do that, to be that selfish and immoral, I really would consider whether he would do good for it's own sake. To me, this is a case where, despite not having the entire picture, what I do have is enough to draw conclusions from.

Needing to keep a tyrannical government at bay and needing the means to over throw a tyrannical government never disappears. It doesn't matter if it is 1776 or 2012 or sometime later.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

If he can't be loyal to spouse and has ethics problems then why would anyone in their right mind think Gingrich would actually do a good job as president. A piece of **** like that is most likely to sell us out further down the river.
