Personally if this happened I wouldn't consider it America anymore, so I'd probably go with violent revolution.
.... I'd tell America that we should sit down and talk about this like sensible adults. America can't do whatever she wants. You know, because America is not even 250 years old yet. She can't do as she please. First she bans guns, then what? She'll start smoking weed, hanging out with North Korea and as we all know, it's all down hill from there. No, America can't do whatever she wants so we'll just all have an intervention if she ever decides to just up and ban the 2nd amendment.
I'd lol, because I think Americans are already revolting.
Right now? Who? The OWS? They are just helpful idiots that don't understand capitalism, economics, money, or the problems that exist in the country. I don't need that kind of help.

Actually, all it would take is Congress passing a law, the President signing it, and five old people deciding the SA had been misinterpreted all these years. :dohI voted that i would go on with my life.
If we banned the Second Amendment - which I DO NOT favor doing - it would be done via another Constitutional Amendment. To pass one would require support of an overwhelming number in both houses in Congress - 2/3 - plus the legislatures of 3/4 of the states. That could not be done without large and significant support from the citizenry. This would be impossible now. However, if the winds changed and it was possible, I would then have a choice to live in America with all its great things or leave. And I would simply accept the will of the people and make due the best I could.
By nature, I am not a violent person and to participate in a violent revolution would require a whole lot more than that for me to join in.

we came within one vote of that
I didn't say it would happen in the current envionment, only that that is all it would take. If that is incorrect, please explain how the process would prevent it.If you believe that, you are horribly misinformed about the process as well as reading the national political temperature.
The good citizens of the USA would never have the stomach for an armed revolt if the Supreme Court ruled that the SA did not apply to private persons. If the sun exploded, it would be a bloody mess here on this planet. If the SA was removed from the Constitution, which it would be impossible, our nation would be a bloody mess.

In all seriousness, though, if the US successfully banned personal firearms, and there was no real hope of getting them back, I would become a citizen of Israel and renounce my US citizenship.

And as I stated, it does not require repealing the SA; only that it be reinterpreted. Maybe you don't understand your system as well as you think.I have already explained to you the process of overriding a portion of the Constitution like the current Second Amendment. 2/3 of both houses of Congress then the ratification by 3/4 of the individual state legislatures.
