there is nothing admirable about the KKK. While I think that being a dumbass racist shouldn't be illegal, being a dumbass racist isn't a good thing.

I never said being a racist was a good thing. What I said is that I can admire their willingness to take a stand and not change their position on the issue. I think you can see how a NationalIST, IsolationIST, GenderIST might find that trait something to admire.

I chose 0-5 years because the landscape is changing in this regard.

For those that are against gay marriage, you support the violation of Article I Section X Clause I of the Constitution of the United States, among other clauses, which states, "No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility." The bolded part is important since marriage is a contract between two people that are able to enter into contracts.

The history of marriage licenses in the United States originally started in Ohio in 1854 to prevent blacks and whites from intermarrying. By the turn of the 19th century all states required a marriage license to get married and violated the sanctity of marriage under racist terms by including the government in a sacred vow between the couple and God (if you believe in one). This turned a two (three, if you include God) party contract into a three (four) party contract. When this country was founded, people did not need permission to exercise a right to marry/right to engage in contracts. They called it common law marriage and had contracts that spelled out the provisions for each party in such contract that they had to maintain. It's not surprising that common law marriage fell out of favor with the government because there was no oversight required by the government in the institution.

Here is a very serious and thought provoking question for those against gay marriage. Do you support bigotry against a minority group to prevent them from having equal rights under the law?
