If Ron Paul became the GOP nom. Who would you rather vote for?

Obama. Getting rid of the EPA, Department of Education, etc. is just too much. Ideally I'd vote for some sort of hybrid between the two. I strongly support Paul's stance on foreign policy.

Ron Paul.... no hesitation.

Ron Paul's not my first choice, but Obama's tied for last with Barney Frank, so it's Ron .... sigh

I'd rather see a hybrid of the remaining GOP: Romney and Huntsman's looks, Gingrich's debating arsenal, Santorum's grasp (albeit loose) on morality, and Ron Paul's son, Rand.

Ron Paul would be an unmitigated disaster.

Obama. Paul would decimate too many important agencies, and his foreign policy is dangerous.

I think he's off his rocker on a lot of issues, but I'd vote for paul just for the **** of it. it would make for a very interesting four years.

I dislike Obama, but I would vote for him if the other option was Paul. I agree with Your Star in that I think his foreign policy is insane and his cut backs to government are dangerous.

When Obama let's Iran obtain a nuke, will you finally get it?

Wouldn't matter. At that point, the country will have already lost, and I probably will have given up on trying to help.

Ron Paul without a doubt.

Obama, but there's some things about Ron Paul I like. But he's too much of an idealist. He comes from a good place, but he's got no sense of realism.

Ron Paul, hands down.

It would depend. Let's say philosophically I have more in common with Obama than Paul, yet I wouldn't vote on that alone. For the Departments Paul would like to get rid of, I would suggest reality would kick in and a large transitional phase would begin at most. Paul, on the other hand, would likewise run into major issues on many major policy areas that would prevent a significant impact, which I would be in favor of. Reality kicks in, and the idealists would cry...just like the Obama-progressive types cry today.

How many nukes does America have? How many will Iran have? Do you think it is likely they will nuke you?

Or rather, could reach.

The known is better than the unknown...so Id go Obama. I was eyeballing Paul, but the more I saw, the more turned off I became. IF we were stablilized, had a good economy, weren't involved in these problems in the ME....then Paul could be an interesting experiment. But we aren't in that place here. We are in deep doo doo. I think Paul would give us more Poo.

Obama without hesitation.

I'm voting for Ron Paul because Bernie Sanders and Dennis Kucinich won't challenge Obama from the left.

I have a feeling you can't even come up with an example of his ideas that you disagree with. Certainly not one that would align with calling yourself "Very liberal".

i wouldn't mind having someone like Paul as secretary of defense.

he'd be excellent pushback against interventionism.
