I hate all pop-ups unless I need them to navigate a site. They are a nuisance. I've noticed that some pop-ups (that seem to avoid my blocker) have the "x" out of sight until one expands their screen. Dirty little trick, I say! The one I hate the most is one where they pop up asking for your email address to continue. Fortunately, there's a plethora of information on the internet. I just go on to the next.

Same here, just as a matter of principle.needless to say, i don't buy products advertised in an intrusive and annoying way.
