Why are we always hearing numbers and percentages from politicians and which party do you think uses this tactic the most?

Yea, I don't like getting statistics and numbers in the way of my politics.

The point is that they rattle them off left and right then move on to another location and the numbers change...they are rarely right.

If a politician is wrong about a number I'll call out that politician but I think it's silly to complain about them using numbers in the first place.

why would either party have reason to introduce numerical facts into the political discussion
simply sit back, watch faux news, and absorb the political indoctrination to which you are entitled

What is this thread about?

It is a game. Politics is a game. Politicians are a joke. One of them said the other day that he should get the vote since he can raise the money and has the best organization to see him through to the final election. What about the issues or the candidate? Vote for them since they have the money? What a crock of ****. I couldn't believe that people also fell for this. They interviewed voters and I kept hearing not about the candidate or the issues but about voting for the one that would likely get the most votes... Sheeple and stupidity at its finest and why politics in America is broken and votes from people like me are a waste of time.

Well, if your voting from the angle that you would rather anyone than the current person running things, then it is very sensible to vote for the person with the best chance of beating that person.

I understand the logic well... I just think think it is foolish. It doesn't make the person a scum bag or a murderer though... :

What percentage of them are wrong?

Yes - because they're voting for who should get the GOP nomination, and the point of that is to win the election, and to do that you have to beat Obama. So "I am the most prepared to win" is a perfectly good reason for a candidate running for the nomination to cite.
