I won't vote in the poll because I am not a registered independent, but I would vote for Huntsman over Obama in the general.

I'd vote for Huntsman or Cain, but since Huntsman has no shot and Cain is likely dropping out, who knows. I absolutely will not vote for idiots like Bachmann, Gingrich, Perry or Santorum. If it comes down to Romney, I'll probably hold my nose and vote for him, although I don't want to. It's looking like yet another election where we have to vote for the lesser of all the evils.

I would vote for any of these candidates over Obama. I cannot imagine why anyone would vote for one of these candidates over Obama, but stay home if a different candidate was picked. For example, people who say they would vote for Romney over Obama, but would stay home if Cain is the nominee or something like that makes absolutely no sense. Either you are completely politically ignorant and are easily distracted by shiny objects, which probably means you are voting for Obama, or you recognize just how terrible this President has been and realize that anyone from Ron Paul to Jon Huntsman would be better than the current President.

What it means is that Romney is closer to their preferences than Obama, but Cain might be too far to the right for them.

I don't get that either. Cain and Romney are far closer than Romney and Obama. Obama is a far left radical.

Oh were it only true outside the self imposed belief system of the far right.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

You seriously don't think Obama is a radical leftist? Are you also easily distracted by shiny objects?
