If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch; or at least go and play with your own people. If these girls want to come over and play baseball (rather than softball), boys soccer, football, lacross, etc.... (all of which are CONTACT sports) they need to be prepared to be dealt with like any other guy would be. They also need to be prepared to deal with the hazing and the abuse that the other guys would take if they get special "privileges" or make it obvious that they're different from the other guys.

Did I ask for your comment? No. I said don't come to any even where my kids are playing. It's a strong suggestion to you.

If you are going to champion the cause of equality and scream that girls be allowed on boy's teams, then you need to STFU when the tables get turned and some guy wants to play on the girl's team
No - I don't approve of gender-blending for personal sports like that . . . only for team sports. I wouldn't want a girl to hold a record in a boy's category. She should compete against girls. It makes no sense that the boys can do it in the girl category Now: training together. . .ok - no big deal there.

Another thing I don't support is the 'gender-standard' where they will try to balance the teams out (swimming teams in the past have been in the spotlight for this, too) - if 50 guys want to be on their swim team but only 30 girls apply to be on theirs: they will disallow those 20 extra guys so the teams will be 'gender balanced" which I find to be bull****.

Look: no one can ever sidestep the fact that - gender wise - we are different. The only reason why these guys are competing with the girls is because they didn't have a guy's team to put them on - so put them on one! What's wrong with that?

If it means that there are 2 guys and 20 girls - who cares . . . if it was the other way around and had 20 guys and 2 girls - who cares, really? When it comes to competition standards and actually recognizing one for their ability they should be competing against like-individuals.

A screaming comes across the sky.
It has happened before, but there is nothing to compare it to now.

case closed. just don't expect the boys to hold back because they are competing against girls

Which brings the question; Does this apply to school sports?

do the schools receive federal financial assistance? if it is a public school it does so it applies. private schools can do pretty much whatever they want

And they have their 'equally situated' rulings (RE military participation - etc).

It would be discrimination if the guys were told 'you can't compete at all' - it's not discrimination to want them to at least compete against guys.
