Asians, Orientials... how can it matter ?
The idea is to be respectful, referring to others as n******* or c********* or "them", is NOT respectful.
And PC is, IMO, silly !
To add - I respect the Chinese, Vietnamese,ect...
I do not respect the conservatives , so for "them", its "tea-baggers"...this, I know is not right....

Here's your quote that makes my point. People are rarely fully aware of all our choices, especially the ones we are conforming too. It's an almost mindless process sometimes. I'm not a wizard with grammar or the sharpest bulb in the tool shed but I know when someones using circle logic,, duhhh. I have an overly educated friend with 15yrs of college who likes to grade my emails for grammatical errors. He thinks its funny. So when we're in the company of others I mispronounce words on purpose when telling a story so he'll continually correct me to look smart. Then I ask him "can you tell me the point of my story"? He ends up staring at me blankly because he was too focused on my mispronunciation.
Sounds like your friend wasted 15 years of college...

My point Tucker even an idiot can make you look stupid when they pull your pants down.. he's showing his heiny
Showing Tucker a heiny is just the beginning of some really good entertainment...

The reason I go hard after the idea of it being forced, though, is because i think that that word implies victimization, and I believe that we have a major problem in our society with the victim-mentality, right now. Since I now see that you were not trying to imply that, we have no disagreement.
I was wondering if that was your issue... pressure rather than force. And I agree to your points in this and the other post. Good thoughts...

More knowledgeable in some areas but not all. I know that I have two degrees and a Masters and I know basically nothing about the dairy industry and the high school drop outs here that make more money than I do could talk circles around me about the industry, international dealings with Fonterra and China, etc.

Retaining information doesn't always equate with the ability to think, wisdom or understanding. I can look up most any information someone else has learned, on the internet but I can't replicate experience. I guess we all have some unique combination of knowledge and insight that others may not. Like my profession was based in optics and I'm not sure how that Jesus illusion works. Something probably to do with the rods and cones of the retina and latent light stimulation on the optic nerve, causing the high contrast negative image to reverse into a positive. I know you can figure which eye you have is dominant by poking a hole through a piece of paper, then line up an object at some distance (20 ft) with both eyes open looking thru the hole. Now with the hole still lined up on the object close each eye one at a time. Whatever eye still sees the object is your dominant eye and the one you used to see the object with first. Though we have two eyes, one eye transmits the image to the brain first, while the other lays a separate image over the first to give the brain depth of vision and binocular sight. The retina actually sees images upside down like a mirror in a camera but the brain turns them right side up. Boring for others fascinating too me,, lol.

One of my fears,, knock-knock-knock.. who's there? Hi daddy you never knew me.
