I stand corrected, as LuckyDan has thrown his hat in with the TurtleDude, we now have 2 members that think the ad was honest. 6 that think it was dishonest, and 3 that think it was dishonest and crossed the line.

I won't say "honest," but I will say shrewd. Let BO say it's untrue.

"But I was quoting McCain! HE said it! HE said it!" The quote still stands.

Even if BO was quoting McCain, the words still ring true.

Good ad. Looking forward to the rebuttal. (Of course, I speak as one who considers BO a lying sack of excrement.)

The ad is blatantly dishonest and is committing a crime against the American people. Karma would now have Romney getting caught in bed with two midget hookers and a gallon of koolwhip. The man has proven himself to be unworthy of trust. This is disgusting.

How anyone could defends its use and not condemn it is puzzling. Is this how far some have sunk in the rabid ideological wars?

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

Agreed. That is because Newt, Mitt, or Obama has any positive record on which to stand.

Re: Is This Ad Dishonest or Does It Cross The Line.

Its politics 101...who is looking for honesty when it comes to politicians? Hell we have Obama stating we need to calm the rhetoric and then before he finishes his breathe he is fanning the flames. We have other congressmen involoking the specter of lynching and hanging in their political speeches. Obama and others attack the 'Tea Party' with some of the ugliest of rheotirc and routinely take comments out of context and OHBYTHEWAY...so do a good number of people on this site.

Wouldnt it be cool though if we didnt have to hear about Romneys religion, Obamas pastor, Bachmans husband, Clinton and Cains sexcapades, Bush and alleged drug use from 30 years prior, Biden...well...at all. But they will ALL continue to do it because they know they can pander to their base who will swallow everything AND regurgitate everything on debate boards.
