Is the Florida DOT "See the Blindspots" video too graphic?

Warning: This video may be graphic to some viewers. It shows short clips of pedestrians being hit by vehicles.

(I think the site is currently being overloaded with viewers, so it may be difficult to load)

Florida DOT Website Features Video Of Pedestrians Being Mowed Down By Vehicles | Fox News

See the Blindspots: Graphic video on FDOT website called ''horrific'' | wtsp.com

I've seen some pretty graphic things on the internet in the past, and I don't see this as being that graphic. Turn on TruTV or CourtTV and you'll see this (or worse) all the time.

Yes, it is sad and my heart goes out to the families of those who have lost loved ones this way, but this is a message that needs to resonate with the public. If even one life is saved because of this video, it would be worth it in my mind.

And no one is forcing people to watch this video. As for children seeing the video, if they are really that interested in seeing graphic images, I doubt the first site they'll visit is a DOT website. There is a thing called parenting, and if you haven't by now (after years with computers and the internet) learned how to moderate what your children view on the internet, you probably shouldn't be allowing your kids to use the internet to begin with. I hope you will consider taking a class on parenting in the 21st century.

"There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, it to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution." óJohn Adams

One of the chief arguments against the possession of child pornography, beyond the fact that its production requires that a child be abused, is that every time it is viewed the original victim is again victimized on some level, or that they are victimized by the mere existence of said material.

I've often wondered about the validity of that argument when there's stuff like this flying around.
I'm already gearing up for Finger Vote 2014.

Just for reference, means my post was a giant steaming pile of sarcasm.

Having said that, I meant to click "Other."

Yes, it's too graphic. Read about this earlier today and clicked but clicked away pretty quickly. It's at a level of a site I won't mention by name but which styles itself as "When hell is full...," etc.
