The world is in turmoil, some say. What do you think we need nowadays?
Non-greedy politicians would help greatly. Human compassion instead of human greed across the board would help immensely.
Too bad many people believe such a thing a myth to accomplish though.
I agree with this. Unfortunately, American voter's memories are way too short, and politicians know this and exploit it. We, as a collective group, need to be more pro-active in at least remembering beyond the last speech and promise.IMHO We need a voter revolution in America...first targets are far right and far left hyper partisan turds...THROW THEM OUT.
Then re elect reasonable men and women that will work together to make america what it always was again.
Americans need to learn to give and take and UNDERSTAND that not everything is going to be just how they demand it.

So where are the so-called 99-percenters? Shouldn't they be chiming in on this one? They're the ones concerned about the well-being of their "fellow man" right?:shrug:Non-greedy politicians would help greatly. Human compassion instead of human greed across the board would help immensely.

Don't they already? According to them, they're in the 99% - at least in this nation. :shrug:When the "I deserve" people begin to outnumber the "I produce" people, we're in trouble.
The paradigm shift we need has to include a change towards personal responsibility. No one deserves anything but honesty. If you say you'll pay me for doing something, and I do it, I deserve what you said you'd pay me. That's it. If you don't want to do it, don't do it. The concept is as old as time.
The paradigm shift we need has to include a change towards independence - in our government and in our personal lives. The government can not be all things to all people. Individuals can not be all things for all people. Getting rid of the hold our Federal Government has on our everyday lives would be a great place to start. The closer our money can stay to our home, the more fair our government can be to its citizens.

Time and patience.

What we need is to take 3 or 4 steps BACKWARDS in time. We need to return to the ideals of the PAST, not the insanity of the PRESENT/FUTURE.
