I wonder if the OWS crowd knows that Jon Corzine, Democrat and former Senator and Governor, is in the hot seat for stealing money from his investors through a loophole that he personally lobbied to keep legal. More likely, they know how many women have accused Herman Cain of doing alleged things. So here is the poll, which of these things would you say you are very familiar with and have been well informed about by the media?

A rape free zone-tent set up by OWS? You have got to be kidding me?

PS Just looked up the story, sounds like a good idea since incidents have been happening in that area.

Most big new organizations are biased, or solely based on profits made hyping up a story. I take every story with a grain of salt. Then go read up on it later.

None of the above. The news media can't fully inform anyone about anything, since almost everything they say is full of **** and highly partisan.

That was going to be my response too. When I got to this thread and saw that there were no "yes" or "no" options I was disappointed... because the first thing I would have done is select "no".

I guess I could have added a "none of the above" option, but seriously, who doesn't know every detail that can be known at this point about the Cain story.

It's not the job of "the media" to keep me informed. It is my job to keep me informed. It is the job of the media to make money, which means what they report and how in depth is driven by profit(ie what gets ratings).

What gets ratings and fits their agenda. Seriously, what Jon Corzine did is 100% what Occupy Wall Street has been up in arms about. But Corzine is a Democrat, so even though that scandal could get a whole movements worth of viewers it is getting no play.

Hint: what Corzine did is not unusual, and lots of examples could be pointed to of republicans doing the same thing and not getting much media attention. Further, the largest media source, FOX, is conservative, so why are they not plastering their news with stories on Corzine? Maybe because the money is not there, but in the latest sex scandal.

Ok, please give some of those lots of examples of Republicans doing the same thing. Honestly, I think most people don't really understand what Corzine did. The only reason in the universe it was legal was because he lobbied fellow Democrats in the administration and on regulating committees to keep it that way. It was a Madoff style scheme.

If anyone there is not aware of the news, it is likely only because they don't have a TV, computer, or paper to read. though you would have to go to some right wingnut source to get the rape free zone silliness.
