Are you thoroughly sick of all things to do with Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Whatever? Pro and anti? Tired of hearing about it, tired of arguing about it, tired of the overhyped mega-partisanship?

I'm tired of hearing about it and don't want to debate it anymore. Everyone has their entrenched position and just spews venom at the other side. It's pointless.

What say you? Tired of hearing about it yet?

sick of talking about it

sick of all the coverage of the people participating and their actions rather than the message about what is wrong with our political system. Same thing that happened with all the nigger signs at Tea Party rallies, when there is a legitimate concern about our debt.

That's why I haven't really posted about anything besides sports the past couple of days. All the new threads are all about OWS and boring as ****.

I keep my mind occupied (oops) with other matters when I desire (right now reading about conservative intellectualism in American newspapers). I'm fine with defending the notion of proper political discourse in the face of the mob, and do so when I please. I have differences with their outlook and desires, but I am still outraged at their infantile actions.

Anti. Sick of talking about it, neither pro nor anti are in a position to listen to each other so it's becoming just pissing and moaning in general.

I don't agree with their message. I support their right to protest peacefully and within the law.

But I admit... I get very involved in debates when others feel they have the right to violate the law, resist/attack authorities, and bitch and moan and lie about it.

My only pony in the show is pointing out the misinformation and anti-law enforcement crap.

Personally, if they would just stop camping and start holding daily protests from 6am to 10pm they would be viewed alot more favorably... these encampments create more PR problems than their movement needs.

I am sick and tired of the OWS, the Tea Party, The Fred Phelps Inbreds, The Pro-Lifers, The Pro-Choicers, The Loud Mouths at either parties's conventions and anybody with more than one political sign on their yard. Just STFU and do something productive and go pick up some trash along our streets from your lazy arse fellow Americans.

Just my opinion.

Same here.

The only investment I have in that is trying to convince people to at least acknowledge that the lawbreaking is getting out of hand, unfortunately there are too many true believers.

Yep.

In total agreement. The usual suspects though keep trying to make it about assembly but ignore the misbehavior, this is why most people are sick of the subject.

Are your eyes glued to the TV, internet, newspaper forcing you to view things you find objectionable? Are ear phones glued to your ears forcing you to listen to things you don't want to hear? You still have freedom of choice use it

I thought I was answering a poll. No, am not glued to the media.

What I am totally sick of hearing is everyone whining.

Both for and against and beyond.

Still want to see them out there, but really wish they had a clear message that was not being politically twisted, and actually was precisely directed at the corporate/Govt connection, and how this relationship is both bankrupting and destroying our country.

Maybe we need an OWS+DC protest so that the direct connection between wall street/corporate America and DC can be protested.

Then again maybe we need to realize that protesting that connection is in no way the same as being anti capitalist, or that if you do agree that legislators and CEO's should not be in collusion in any way you are not anti anything except maybe against what is the real cause of our problems.

What I honestly do not get is how many people including individuals, the media, politicians and even community organizers have twisted these protests to mean so many different things just to fit into their agendas, and also how so many of us buy into all the BS.

Nope, I'm not sick of it. I'm tired of explaining to people that generalizations are illogical, that I can see that their attempts to just 'discuss' ideas are really just attempts to smear the movement and that people who are accused of crimes are innocent until proven guilty. I'm also a bit a tired of dealing with people believe what they want to believe rather than examining facts.

But I'm not sick of discussing the ideas behind the movement and it's progress, which doesn't really ever happen enough for me to get sick of it. The only problem is that discussion around OWS has revolved around "X person did something 'bad' so let's talk about it" when the discussion could be about the validity of civil disobedience or whether or not OWS has a point and other more intellectual topics, but those topics seem to be far above the heads of those who start the most threads on OWS.

That might be on "both" sides. Those defending Civil Disobedience, and this civil disobedience give us only names: King, Gandhi, Thoreau and that's it.

I'm sympathetic to OWS. I remind all that in the beginning the Mass Media did not want to cover this story. Now it makes news but by the same people who did not want to cover it, so what they may choose to write is suspect because of their previous position, that amounted to censorship by omission. You can publicize all the good points or all the bad points. With agent provocateurs working inside the OWS and for whom (?????) the details get twisted. OTOH, they are protesting on Wall Street, so banks and big money are still the targets and, in my opinion, rightfully so. I don't really see the movement asking for freebies, just stop helping the rich get richer to the detriment of the majority.

They are all the same thing. Someone posts some story of a woman/man doing something then the OP yells about the dirty mob. Someone posts "well, you can't say a whole group is represented by an individual" and it devolves into "Tea party this....socialism/communism....message....OWS hates babies and women". Boooring. You went into one of those threads you've been in them all.

I do not really care about them.Although I do find it funny that many of these people are well off and most likely referred to tea party republicans as tea baggers, made accusations racism and used a couple of clips or two to try to demonize the whole tea party while videos of OWS don't represent the whole OWS movement. I think it will be funny to see if these guys will stick around during winter in New York and other places that get cold as **** during the winter. Although the whole OWS does distract from real news much like celeb garbage distracts from real news.

I'm sick and tired of hearing about all the useful idiot's highjinks. I'd much rather hear about those behind the idiots. The ones calling the shots. But the media...and the people on this forum...don't seem to want to talk about them.

Oh, well.

I'm on the fence about the OWS but from what I've seen they're a rabble of troublemakers. They should police themselves better or be known as fools.

And yes, I'm sick of it.

Let's get back to bickering about other continuous/divisive issues.

It was fun for awhile pointing out the hypocrisy of the Tea Partiers attacking OWS in the same way they bitched about being attacked(some tea partiers, not all). I have nothing against OWS beyond what I have against the Tea Party(thinking complex things are simple and being basically unrealistic), and think of the two groups almost exactly the same. I am tired of people who feel the need to make multiple threads a day about trivial **** and think that they are making some kind of point.

Hear, hear.

I'm still curious as to what the end goal of the movement is.

Hypocrisy is a two way street. I've seen the same people who claimed they feared violence from the TEA party give a complete pass and even support the OWS even where there has actually been violence.

I will say, I'm tired of the coverage but I have had some fun digging at the "Fleabaggers" the same way others enjoyed digging at "teabaggers".

But you see, that is just lowering the level of discourse just to do it. When people where accusing the Tea party of stupid things and calling them names, I defended the Tea Party. Those who where backing me and thanking my posts then are now the ones attacking OWS for the same crap. When you use the "well Johnny did it so I should to" excuse, instead of arguing what is right no matter what, you are part of the reason political discussion in this country is so vile at times.

Those in charge of the Occupy Wall Street Journal say this....
