I'm salaried, I average around 60, sometimes more, rarely less.

I work as many hours as I have to to keep my operation running normal. There's no such thing as quitting time. Quitting time is, "when I'm finished". Five-O'Clock is just another hour in the day.

I only work a 40 hour week this time of year, but it's usually closer to 50 between February and June.

I pay myself a small salary, and then evaluate the cash flow needs by mid summer to decide whether I can allow myself a little more. The last couple of years, my full time employees have made more than me.

I normally work about 60 hours a week. Lowest is 48, most is around 72. I have a baby daughter to take care of as well. I also do design and writing work here and there on contract on the side. I sleep like 4-5 hours a night. I am obviously Democrat. I support some of the ideas of OWS but as a whole think it's counter-productive (or not productive at all). The entire poll is flawed, John. I'm sorry, but you don't even account for profession or skill level as a minimum. And what is a lot of money? So you know how many hours everyone works, then what? Some people work overtime, and that can be either mandatory or voluntary. Some salaried people own businesses, which require them to work hours based on the current business situation. I appreciate your hard work for your family; I myself even had an additional part-time job a few years ago, but I don't see what this thread is really getting at except counting people's hours out of context.

Re: How many hours do you work a week?

I'm salaried and am expected to work 44 hours per week. I occasionally exceed that, but I try not to. I have no desire to work more than that.

I am on-call, 24/7. Some days are very quiet (I even get to sleep in), some days have 2 sun rises. Our work tempo is about to get a whole lot heavier this next week.
