    Hell no!

I've cut a check to the IRS every year that I've been in busines for myself.

I'm self employed. There's no such thing as a refund for me.

    A refund!

I didn't read through this topic and maybe this has been asked already......why isn't "yes, for the debt" an option?

It's part of the reason I missed this at first. I don't generally check this section as the option I would pick is rarely an option.

Because it didn't occur to me and polls only allow ten options.

So that you can live in a society that has a healthy and well-educated work force, an infrastructure to support the movement of labor and goods from one part of the country to another, and a police/military/court system that enforces contracts and protects you...among other things. All of these things are partially responsible for whatever level of success you enjoy. No one is solely responsible for all of his success in life; if you were born a poor farmer in Zambia it's highly unlikely that you would be able to be successful no matter how talented or hardworking you are.
    Are you coming to bed?
    I can't. This is important.

About what? That I don't share the same priorities? Probably. As wonderful as I think paying down the debt would be, I don't see it happening anytime soon, so my line of thinking kept the options in the real world regarding what possibly might actually happen and not the fantasies in our heads.

Then why aren't the poor contributing to the society they live in as well? Success shouldn't be punished so that the government can piss away more money. I'm sick of people supporting the government's leeching of resources from people who actually ******g work.

All taxes are equal, but some taxes are more equal than others.
