But to say that people are just "crying communist" for the sake of creating some sort of fear or something is entirely false. Communists (and Nazis, by the way) are part of this group. Seriously, the Communism fear thing is just silly. You guys have got to drop that. No offense, but it makes you look foolish. Like 0.00001% of the population of the US are communists... I've known one in my life. Or at least that's what he says he is. He came across an authentic Soviet soldier's jacket once at a thrift store and thought it was cool looking, so he wore it to parties and said he was a communist. I think he passed out copies of whatever their paper is called once that he picked up from a stack he found on the floor in a coffee shop, but mostly he just thought it was kind of cool to say he was something shocking. Last I heard he was really into video games and didn't go out much. That's pretty much the state of communism in the US... Really, you find that guy and his like that scary? You guys seem to see communism lurking in every laundry basket and under every bed. It's just silly.

There are major leaders of this movement who are both socialists and communists who want to completely destroy Wall Street. Who created the Occupy Wall Street Journal that is providing information and opinions to the "99%"? Have you ever researched who is in charge of it and what they believe? Who organized the very first protest on Sep 17th that started it all? Who is funding it and what do they believe? Have you ever listened to the professors who are encouraging their students to attend these protests?

There is no "boogeyman". It's right there in front of your face and for some reason you (and many other sheep) refuse to pay attention to it.

Actually, I don't watch fox news. I read about 20 different news feeds and listen to talk radio and such. I would say about 80% of what I follow is liberal or democratic. I still disagree with much of it, but that is what is available to me. I'm referring to shared posts from liberal friends, speaking clips from the assemblies, etc. I hear, but throw out, the examples meant to show a few idiots as representatives of the group as a whole.

The whole idea of 99 vs 1 is conflict oriented imo. Redistribution tends to be a common theme and I'm not a fan of that either, because of the government control required to execute.

Honestly, I don't care for OWS (and for reference, I'm not much a fan of the Tea Party either). However, I totally grant that it is their right to assemble and protest. Having that right is important to me in case a group comes along that I do agree with. As long as they obey the law and don't hurt others, I'm not going to rail against them.

I am a healthcare provider. I have a post graduate degree and love my work and earn a decent salary.
 
Few displays of political dementia are more disturbing and pathetic than the sight of a person losing a foothold yet vociferously defending the right of the uber wealthy to enrich themselves at the expense of the 99%.

The American Communist Party has under 2,000 members. Under 2,000. At it's peak, in the early 1900s, it only had 60,000. In the whole country. The last time they ran a candidate for president was in 1984. They got 0.04% of the vote and appear to have pretty much given up because they haven't run anybody since.

Obviously the actual communists are a completely implausible boogieman.

So you turn now to the "communists hiding amongst us" mega conspiracy theory of Joe McCarthy. Generally considered one of the most embarrassing, bizarre, shameful and ludicrously stupid eras of our nation's history. Really, that's who you are?

Is someone with a career college certificate who paints fingernals being wronged by someone with a post graduate degree in the medical profession "enriching themselves?"

The 99% include doctors, nurses, airline pilots, people in retail, small business owners, teachers, salesmen, service industry workers, retired people who have carefully saved for their retirement, truck drivers, insurance agents, minimum wage workers, engineers, baristas, construction workers just to name a few ...

The movement ...while it might get hi jacked eventually or have some events or words that do not represent the original message ... it is not about envy of someone who makes more money ... or trying to get something for free.

The poll though was not really about OWS ... it was about where posters fell in the 99% or 1%.
 
I don't care what they call themselves. If they oppose liberty and call themselves "no labels," I oppose them.

Helpful hint: You don't get into the 1% with a degree in medicine. You are deluding yourself if you think the 1% is composed of semi-rich doctors and lawyers ect.

Nobody is leading this movement. It's a grassroots group run on consenseous. Purely democratic.

If it were run by socialists, this movement would've fell a part a long time ago.
