Economically, I'm not in the 1%, but I have no love for the Occupy Wall Street movement. They are just the 10% pretending they represent the 99%.

Well, the "no labels" fetish did not last long. Now we need labels like "99%" again.

I presume you are referring to the OWS and feel I am in the 99%. I don't wnat anything free, just stop giving my country to the corporations and fat cats. Screw the status quo.

You give them way too much credit. Not even close to 10%. More like .001%.

I'm part of the 100%. We're all in this together.

Life is tough. A government that says it can make you more equal to others is lying.

You want a leveling of the playing field when it can never be.

Maybe not all the 1% ... yet the clearly you have not spent time around the uber rich or followed how they have manipulated markets, depleted natural resources and view you with total disregard.

The uber-rich have so much wealth that they believe can insulate themselves from any collapse above everyone else, with their gated and moated communities, multi million $ multiple homes in multiple climates, access to water, security, private jets and general insensitivity to the price of anything — and hence insensitivity to the value of everything.

While I do not demonize the entire 1% there is a very real and manipulative segment that welcomes the shrinking middle class and they gain off of each crisis and feel insulated from the shrinking natural and financial resources.

Last poll I saw, they had a 54% approval rating nationwide with 23% still undecided. Only 23% disapproving.

Topline Results of Oct. 9-10, 2011, TIME Poll | Swampland | TIME.com

That makes them the most approved of political entity in the country. Higher approval than Romney or Obama or the Democratic Party or the Republican Party or the Tea Party or Congress or Liberals or Conservatives. Some of those they are two, three or even five times more popular than.

Reg you either dont pay attention or you have a reading comprehension problem....let me try this again ok...

Sorry. I won't participate in this little civil war. If you want to whine about how some people have more money than you, then knock yourself out.

But just a quick question....who are you supporting for President in 2012? A person who won't "deplete natural resources"?

Without granting your argument, I have a question about this statement. Do you really think the answer is waging battle with them or redistributing what they have? Both of those choices scare me for many reasons. Working on the hypothetical that you are right, I think the answer lies in finding solutions without government and without battle. If it is really 99% of the population who feel this way, I think some working together would create more solutions.

I'm very uncomfortable with the whole approach of 99 vs 1. It doesn't send a message of solutions, it sends a message of conflict.

Bingo. That's what they want.

That isn't what OWS wants. That's what Fox pundit types want you to believe they are after, but it has nothing to do with OWS. It's just their standard boogieman. Everything they don't like on Fox they brand communism and start tossing out conspiracy theories. :)

What OWS wants is to eliminate the special advantages the rich are being given over everybody else.

Communists are part of this group. Communists are leaders of this group. Communists are speakers of this group.

Are all people in the group communists? Of course not.

But to say that people are just "crying communist" for the sake of creating some sort of fear or something is entirely false. Communists (and Nazis, by the way) are part of this group. And many of the leaders (from the website, those who called for Sep 17 "day of rage", the creators and editors of the newspaper) have some very creepy goals for this country. To deny that is to deny reality.

I am not "whining" and the issue being discussed is not about a person with higher income than another ... I am in the top 2% of income earners and pay 33% federal income tax ... I am deeply in the 99%.

I do not think you understood my post ... and those making multi millions and billions by depleting non renewable resources and manipulating markets ... those corporations and foreign dollars should not have more influence of our electoral process than We the People.

However, no one was soliciting for anyone to participate in a civil war ... It was a poll. If you are satisfied with the status quo that is up to you.

However ... if you think the uber elite are with you while they gain from manipulating markets and various crisis and depleting resources ... you are ignorant of reality.
