None of the Above. I'd like to see a Cain-Gingrich ticket.

They're both from Georgia. Not happening.

He's a serious networker for the party. Personally, I would like to see another strong VP in that office.

I think you're missing the point.

Of those VP choices, how many do you trust as a potential president?

Romney/Cain, although I'd like to see Ron Paul in the mix.

This election is Obama or Not.

I don't see any one repub having any greater advantage than not being Obama.

Really? Because the post and topic only suggested what the BEST ticket was, not the best ticket in regards to who'd be the best president should romney died.

The reality is the likilihood of the VP having to take over for the President is a significantly small one. A situaiton that has happened relatively rarely in our countries history. While I want a VP that I think could be decent at it, its not nearly as big of an issue for me as it is with the President. Especially since unlike the President the VP would theoritically, baring an assasination of inauguation day, have a fair bit of time getting first hand, direct experience on how to do the job.

If it was simply who I thought would make an okay President or be able to do the job, it'd be Huntsman, Newt, and Perry with Cain coming in 4th. However, I think in the last 3 election cycles people were brought on the ballet more for political reasons rather than a belief they'd make the best President.

    Romney/Huntsman?

The only thing keeping Romney from a shoe in for the Oval Office is his mormon background. Putting another mormon on the ticket (and a third cousin at that) seems a very tough sell indeed.

Romney/Perry is likely the only GOP ticket that's a winner.
