Yeah, but all states have regulations. I guess I agree with my state's regulation on getting a handgun and the ability to conceal a handgun.

Could you be a smidge more specific? Your state isn't listed under your name.

Ah. Well there's a reason I live in SC and not NC. No offense but NC has some crazy laws.

You have to have a special permit in NC to buy a handgun... EACH handgun. Not so in SC.
NC has some weird requirements about having a gun in your vehicle. Also, NC law on when you shoot someone who breaks into your home is downright insane, FAR too complex for a person in the middle of a stressful and threatening situation to keep in mind.
NC and SC both have "shall issue" concealed carry permits, meaning if you takes the class and pays your money and passes the background check, they SHALL issue your permit to carry. I'm ok with that.

    Otherwise, meh.

Yeah, I don't know who wrote some of these laws; for instance, it would be better (liability wise) for my dog to bite someone outside my house off leash than inside my house on leash lmao.

Exactly, thank you. Just like the one that says you can shoot someone AS they break into your door/window, but once they are INSIDE you're supposed to use the "continuum of force"... verbal, soft hands, hard hands, retreat and only then using a deadly weapon. Dude, if someone busts in my house in the middle of the night I'm NOT waiting to find out the hard way that they've got a knife or a gun....

Carried mine every day for years until it started looking a little too tasty.

I know his parents own a gun shop and I believe they sell class 3 weapons. He also managed to get a flamethrower, mortar, and a rocket launcher.

Which, in the hands of a law abiding and responsible person, are no threat to anyone.

Contrariwise, in the hands of an idiot or a criminal, a kitchen knife or automobile, or heaven forbid an 18-wheel tanker-truck full of flammables, can be a disaster.

Plane ticket and a box cutter, man. There's no such thing as deadly weapons, just deadly people.
