Let me explain this to you. Americans have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. When we throw someone in jail, we're denying them those things. Does that mean those aren't actually rights?
For: legalizing drugs, gay marriage, abortion, guns, universal health care, public sector jobs, nuclear power, free education, progressive taxation
Against: corporations, make-work, the 40 hour work week, intellectual property, imperialism, "homeland security," censorship

    No, it makes them privileges.

    No, it makes them privileges.
So basically, in your definition, rights don't exist. I think I'll go ahead and stick with the other definition, thanks.

Also, we need to legalize recreational drugs and prostitution.

They're rights given to everyone, but can be taken away. Seeing that they can be taken away some people get to retain these rights and others have them taken away leaving those who retain their rights in a privileged situation over those who don't. Those who retain the rights weren't given special privileges, they are just in a privileged situation when compared to those who have had their rights taken away.

that might have some relevance if the government issued porno to its employees and then told other civilians they couldn't read the stuff

No disagreement with you on that. I used to laugh at my ex brother-in-law when he'd come around and fire all 30 rounds as fast as he could and then manage to hit the target once. That was before anyone knew about bump firing. If we fired a burst, we thought there was something internally wrong with our guns, but laughed about it. I just learned about bump firing about a year ago. What a surprise. I still don't like to do it. Ammo is too expensive these days, but still this special stock might be worth looking in to, just for the heck of it.

The art of bump firing takes some practice if you don't mind wasting ammo, or you could get your AK or AR-15 equipped with this special stock. Then everybody can own an automatic, legally, too.

An easier way with an AK is just remove one of the catches in the trigger and you have a fully automatic AK.

Pretty sure that isn't legal, though.
