Well you see the Tea Party are nothing but a bunch of racist, ignorant morons who are funded by evil fascist rich people.

And the occupy wall street people are nothing but a bunch of weed smokin, hippie, communist unemployed bums soon to be funded by George Soros.

My point exactly. Noone in these groups are normal regular people. :mrgreen:

Reality though:
Anyone remember how angry and upset the conservatives got by people inaccurately portraying the tea party movement? Perhaps the pot should not call the kettle black in this.

Don't you know stereotyping is only okay when you do it to other people? When people do it to you, it's insensitive, hurtful, and completely untrue.
 
Things you can do to make a difference in the world:

1. Become well-educated on economic and social issues
2. Make your opinions known to policy-makers by writing for influential publications
3. Make your opinions known to the public by explaining them in a compelling way
4. Create a new company to disrupt the business model of companies you think are corrupt
5. Create a new product/technology to disrupt the business model of companies you think are corrupt


**** that doesn't actually make a difference in the world, but just makes you look like a douchebag:

1. Wearing tea bags on your head
2. Occupying Wall Street
3. Standing on a street with a sign yelling at passersby
4. Personal boycotts of companies/products
5. Attending rallies with the intention of getting arrested so that you can tell your bros how you stood up to The Man
 
Its always the same...the right rages on the left...the left rages on the right....and they are both wrong....the answer lies right in between both of them, but they are both to stubborn to just meet there

Masses of people deserve to be heard - we should investigate what they stand for. If it's bull****, the movement won't last... if it's a made-up protest it certainly won't last. Just because I don't agree with a mass of people doesn't mean they don't have a right to have their grievances heard.

I can't stand mass protests.
These people seem to, generally, be ignorant idiots.
That goes for both Tea Party and Occupy Wallstreet.
