I don't even remember this old thread.

Not a hardline republican/conservative any more, but socially-conservative and somewhat fiscally-liberal. Probably more moderate.
 
reactionary works well for the left too. Supporting the status quo is reactionary

That's not the definition of reactionary in my book. For me, reactionary is defined by a desire to return to the past - BEFORE the status quo.
 
Didn't someone else ask this a couple of days ago.
 
I think the choices need more refinement, I am a fiscal conservative.
Government should be VERY thrifty, social stuff people should choose for themselves.
