I spent 10 years of my career acquiring companies... I understand how to find "synergies", which is often a euphemism for cutting redundant overhead. When we sold our company in 2008, Bain Capital was one of the suitors, so I also understand how they work. They specialized in wholesale foreign outsourcing of business functions. IMHO, there is a huge difference between making the combined operations of a merged company more efficient and the complete dismantling of our economic infrastructure, which was the final result of rampant outsourcing. In that regard, however, I can not blame Romney. Instead I blame tax and other governmental policies plus an electorate that is completely asleep at the wheel that allowed this rape and pillage to occur.

    In your opinion anyway.

I don't share it. Those who immigate illegally are illegal immigrants. Sorry if this offends your sensibilities, but the words are plain and correct. They're immigrants, and they've entered the country illegally. This makes them illegal immigrants, and calling them "undocumented workers" doesn't change the fact that they are immigrants who are here illegally.

He couldn't even walk the 100yds from the helicopter to ball field his child was playing on .. not to mention he thinks an annual income of 5k is too much for state Medicaid. Interesting seeing a condition he suffers from costs tax payers 147 billion a year.

I think he would win the GOP nomination, mostly on the glitz and glamor of him entering the election.

Even so, I'm not sure how well he would win against Obama.

And even if he were to win the Presidency I don't know how well he'd do with both Democrats and Republicans. The Democrats would oppose him on ideological grounds, just as GOPers do the same with Democratic Presidents, but when it comes to his own party he doesn't seem to be one who would toe the party line, so some GOP factions may butt heads with him.

He doesn't stand a chance if he does not lose between 150 and 200 pounds. I like the guy, but no way would a majority of Republicans, much less a majority of Americans, want a 400 pound man as the face of America to the world.

Christie does not hate Muslims, gays, Communists, Kenyans, or the poor.

Therefore it is near-impossible for him to win the GOP nomination, as long as the Tea-Party holds power.

He isn't going to run, and even if he did he wouldn't win the nomination. You can't just jump in three months before the first primaries, and have time to fundraise, meet with voters, organize a campaign, appear on television, and prep for debates. It's simply too late.

If not Christie than who? The Regressives may have someone that can win the nomination, but those that are capable of appeasing the tea party are not capable of winning the general. Christie might be the one exception to this rule and thus is the only chance they have.

No, especially after they find out that he is just as big as a lib as Romney.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

Mitt Romney will most likely be the Republican nominee IMO.
