When you drink, how do your political views change?

Most of my drinking buddies lean to the right, and I must admit, when I've had a few in me, I become much more of a liberal. I end up in heated discussions, taking positions I normally never would against my conservative friends--sometimes just for the sake of it. Drunk me is definitely a leftist, so tell me DP, does altering your state of mind alter your political perspective, and in which direction?

Moderates generally don't have strong beliefs when sober so I would expect even more of the same after drinking.

There once was a time when drinking that I would agree with whatever a pretty girl said no matter how much I disagreed with it.

Usually when I drink I wind up in countries that don't speak English. So given that, I haven't drank in 25 years.

But in all my years sitting around in a bar - as the saying goes, "drinking and politics don't mix". Personally - I believe that to be pretty much true.

That's the last thing on my mind when I'm drinking.
If you strike me down, I'll become more powerful than you could possibly imagine.

I dunno, someone can compare my posts tonight to how they usually are and tell me.

When I am drinking I generally believe that I will have another, please. Thank you.
    I may be wrong.

Yep, when I'm sober I'm a Libertarian. When I drink, I can turn into a radical anarchist in an instant if the topic comes up, which is why I leave politics in the internet[s], and the voting booth.
I love the NSA. It's like having a secret fan-base you will never see, but they're there, watching everything you write and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that I may be some person's only form of unconstitutional entertainment one night.

Pretty much any kind of intoxication reduces my inhibitions, which mostly revolve around keeping my paranoia in check. My political views tend to become more reactionary and extreme, but thankfully I also become less likely to express them.

My views don't change much. But I become much less patient when it comes to the presentation vs. core point of things. I dont tip-toe as much when im drunk.
