Huh? Who would pay more taxes than legally required? That's idiotic!

    Carry on.

That's really unfair...unless your definition of "fundamentalist whackos" and "religious wingnuts" is "anybody who attends church/synagogue/mosque/holds a religious belief at all.

And I don't think that many Americans are going to agree with you that all the frontrunners are "whackos" and "wingnuts," even if they don't like them or their viewpoints.

If you dilike what the Teaparty stands for then you dislike individual freedom, the Constitution, small government and fiscal responsibility.

Rick Perry called for Texans to pray for rain. Michelle Bachmann is openly fundamentalist Christian. Both wear their religion on their sleeves and acknowledge that their religious views have a profound impact on their political career. Both are religious whackos.

Doesn't matter if anyone agrees, it's called an opinion for a reason.
There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

If that's all they stood for, fine, but we both know it isn't and it's all the really idiotic other things they stand for that most people dislike.

"We" don't know any such thing. What do "most" people dislike? Speak up don't insinuate.

The problem is that the Tea Partiers are either unwilling or unable to actually bring those concepts about in their own ACTIONS. Where is the LEGISLATION to defund the Dept. of Education? Where is the LEGISLATION to do away with MANY of the current Federal Gun Laws? Where is the WALK for all the TALK?

This makes me wonder what the "conservative platform" really is. I've spent eight minutes writing and re-writing this post, and I honestly can't find one position universally espoused by conservatives. So what is it you want a conservative president to do?
